So I search for this Keyword and it shows broad matches of 600,000 global monthly searches , when I search the same keyword for Exact Matches, it did not give me any data , just "-", does that mean this keyword has no exact matches or google has no data on it?

If no data, why? and if no data, is there another method to see how much traffic this keyword has on its "exact matches", thx

    This was answered here:

There's not enough average search data for the term.

    Yes. :)

There's no data because no one is searching for that keyword. You could get a few odd searches but that's it. That's why you have to use exact match and not broad to do your research. In this case broad match is way out to lunch. It's simply grabbing a somewhat related keyword(s) and counting that in the broad match count.

    Nope-I agree with the OP.

Google Keyword Tool is throwing out some strange data in the last few days.

I've been announcing this on a few different forums (here included) but no-one's taking it seriously.

Examples of EXACT searches with United States as locality:-

"lose weight" comes back as "-"
"ways to lose weight" comes back as "-"

These are just a couple but there are many, many more.

I've noticed it too. Some of my main keywords now come back with "-" exact searches when I check on the keyword tool. Been happening for a couple of weeks.
