Keyword Density Post-Pengiun

    I'm one of those people who think the Penguin update was just as much about on-page compare to off-site seo, if not more

    This isn't like the keyword stuffing penalties from before. I think since they see your keywords in your site url, and in you post/page tities, that you really don't have to mention your keywords much in your posts/pages. Really low % density for your main keyphrase, but bring in all the related keywords and spread those out.

    And like if part of your keyphrase is someone's name, use words like "Her" "She's" "They're" instead of repeating it.


    Where do you come down on the best use of keyword density now?

    I did notice that too, that Google was highlighting variations of certain words.

    I guess 1% to 1.5% keyword density will be good, what you say ?

    Even before Penguin, my keyword density never go over 2%, most of the time it's between .8% to 1.8% and sometimes as low as .4%
