So, I received an email with threats of being sued for using branded and brand formative domain names. I see the company is legit, but never received such requests via email. Has always been via certified USPS or FedEx, etc. Have tried to get them to send via certified return receipt, but they keep threatening legal action and say they will not send hardcopy. Anyone dealt with these requests via email only? I am not trying to get sued, but do not want to give up domains to competition using bogus info to heist domains. (i have done it, so I know it can be done )

I've never really heard of these companies sending threats via email. I too would think it'd be some kind of certified mail with signature required (UPS, Fedex..etc) It might be worth telling them you have no problem turning over the domains, but would like a hard copy sent so you can verify this is for real. Otherwise, maybe consult a lawyer.
