I recently started using a VPS and thought I could let my SEO tools run without constantly keeping my own computer on. But everytime I disconnect the RDP connection, the VPS logs out and my applications crash. So if I still have to keep my own computer on and connected to the VPS at all times, there is no use in having it. Is there any way of fixing this? Or do VPS providers set this up as some form of security measure that should not be altered?

When you log out of the RDC, everything should still run fine on the VPS. If your having problems with that, you should contact your VPS provider and let them know.
