    I am having trouble working out how to do this;
    with nominet , i can hide the address by opting out... but the whois still picks up my registrant name, and i dont want to have to go through all my websites and transfer them into different names, one by one?

    any ideas, much appreciated.

    Can't you just purchase "Private Registration"?

    not for .co.uk no... from what i see, you can only hide the address, not registrant name with co.uk domains

    I was having trouble with his, so i simply changed my first name to my initials, and my second name to my middle name. Never had any problems after with billing etc..

    You cannot hide the registrants name with .co.uk

    Even with private whois etc ... the name is still visible.
    The only option you have is changing the name.

    I think you can hide your name if its a personal domain and not business related. But either way, try using your initials instead of the full name.

    Bite the bullet and transfer to a new account with fake details, name, address etc, Obviously make sure to create a new email from scratch so you can confirm the domain transfer.

    Its a pain but worth it for the extra security. Only costs like £12

    No, you can't.
    .co.uk will always show the registrant name in a whois search.

    It's just the way it's wired up.
