    Hi everyone,

Recently I was able to get my hand on a dozen of PR3 Tumblr blogs, all were expired domains, so there is nothing on it.
I plan to use them in order to built some T1 for some of my websites, but I fear that they loose their PR on the next update.

I'm looking for any advice in order to keep the PR of these blogs. Will just some social bookmarks blast will do the work ?

    Thanks !

PR is based off of backlinks and relative quality (and perhaps relevance of content to a lesser extent). If you check your domain's backlinks and you see a significant trend of dropping over the last 2-3 months, you will likely see a drop in PR if\when it's updated.

The only way to prevent further links from dropping drastically would be to create relevant content for those domains, or 301 to other domains that do have relevant content. That's presuming those links were legit, (not paid for\not spammed\not from 301's that were removed after the domain expired). I don't see why links from higher PR pages would remain intact to those domains otherwise.

Use the way back machine to grab the old content of the blog, then replicate it exactly as it originally was. Continue to build backlinks and add content.

i have some 100 tumblr blogs .. expired.
its a question of the backlinks. opposite to a expired domain you cant replicate the url so tipps like this

Use the way back machine to grab the old content of the blog, then replicate it exactly as it originally was.

dont help. because you cant do the exact url.

i just post there and try to make it a little popular again to get likes and reblogs.
usally the pr sticks quite good.

but even if you just make 1 post and let it there is a good chance that the pr stays.

Some of the tumblr blogs retain their PR just try to put at least 1 post on your homepage.

As long they dont return as 404.

You can take advantage on them if you add content to them and link to your site. I don't think they will lose their PR.
