This is a question instead of a helpful technique,,, sorry:

Is there a way to keep ebay's fees to the bare minimum when posting your auctions? If so,,, what is it?

thanks,

:yield:

what i use to do is start the auction off at the price im trying to sell it for...that means u don't get charged for a reserve...now most buyers would watch the item till the last minute and bid. but u only have to spend 3 to 4 bucks each auction so i rather i have 10 watchers with potential to bid and pay a low auction cost then to have a .99 starting and a $499.00 reserve and no 1 reaches the reserve but i still have to pay the listing fees.

great post....

i'm getting hammered with reserve auction listings...but they get the most views/bids imo....but they also almost never sell

i guess it depends on what your goals are...is it to make a sale? is it to get a bidding war? is it to protect yourself from a low ending auction?

You can post 1.00 listings in any section of ebay selling some book or what not in that area, most of the time you will see the auction for 7 days but if you have a few asshats in that nich they will report every one of your auctions.

Find a section of ebay that only grandma and no tech savy people are and you will not have a problem.

I have seen returns on a .15 listing of around 210.00 or so. Just make sure you use a differant ebay ID to post with or you will have the regular auctions removed if you get reported. Might be worth playing around with the idea, it adds a extra grand to my epn check.......I just realized I am the wrong section, this post is mostly directed at CS

check ebay trends, find something popular but cheap, list it. simple.
