To write, edit, publish and promote a 50-60,000 word original quality book and get it to be a top seller on Amazon within 100 days.

ABOUT THE BOOK

The book is a non fiction book with an audience that is known for buying books and even multiple books on the same subject.

The subject matter is something I know about and have both an education and practical knowledge of.

To further assist the book will have a lot of short chapters. This will help with the writing process but is also a technique James Patterson uses very well. People read his books quicker because of the perceived ease of reading "just one more chapter".

THE PLAN.

Write a chapter a day until the book is finished and have each chapter checked and edited.

Create my website.

Create 100 graphics with quotes and appropriate images using Canva and free stock photos

Search for hashtags and groups

Create an inner circle to help promote the book, buy the book and leave honest reviews.

I want to leave the Amazon site to be white hat this is a book which could change my life so dont want to be seen to be doing anything shady.

That said I am open to the use of blackhat methods away from Amazon to promote the book and do intend to use and document these here.

Other than my book I have nothing to sell or promote.

WORK TO DATE

I have searched and identified the.catergories I want my book to be placed. I think these are two that are achievable. I should at least hit top 20 with what I have planned and then hopefully the organic sales and black Friday promotion will push me onwards.

I am also currently looking through royalty free graphic sites for images that will work on facebook and instagram.

Any questions please ask.

Do heres is a little bit of my traffic plan:

For YouTube I am going to create a short book trailer and a 10 things you didn't know video.

The 10 things you didn't know will be repurposed into an article (reddit and facebook), graphics, infographic etc. Each will have the name of the book on and point the viewer to my website.

If I can find a good source I aim to buy views for the videos. Really just going for social proof on these as I plan to pitch the 10 things to legit journalist closer to launch.

People who visit my site will be offered an audio version of the book free of charge and some extras. After signing up they will be offered the chance to buy the book this will use an amazon affiliate link.

There is then a follow up campaign via email and some remarking for those that don't buy.

I have today studied and completed the first draft of a chapter coming in at 2348 words and put a graphic up to start building my launch team.

Great outline. Good luck!

Good luck as well from me, I still have a book in the air, shaping it around my startup journey to develop respect and authority within the industry. I'll stay tuned to see if anyone feeds you any Blackhat methods, here's a method I read from the book authorpreneur which focuses on Amazon best seller rankings ect; first place your book for sale for 99 cents, so you get more sales and reviews, you can also buy reviews here in the marketplace. Then gradually bring up the price, people on will edit your book and do all your infographics as well as formatting the book once the manuscript is done if if ur into that

Would you be better to offer it for 1c or 99% off instead of free? This would stop those who use a disposable email just taking it and vanishing.
Or do you think the list building would outweigh these?

I am looking at list building from the website.

Here's a little bit more of my plan.

I aim to get 100 - 200 people in my launch team.

These are people who have already bought books in this genre. I am hoping this will help with the Amazon algorithm and get me into "people who bought this also bought".

These people will buy the book for £4.99. Read it and leave an honest review. I will then send them a £5 gift voucher or pre paid credit card.

I am hoping to do this to get sales in October so that I can then raise the price for a time before doing a heavy discount on Black Friday weekend.

This is also why I am building a list on the website. I want to promote the book sale that weekend to those who haven't bought.

I will be using amazon affiliate links so even if they don't buy the book they will be buying other things that weekend.

Hopefully this combination will make us visible for Christmas purchases.

I think this strategy (although untested) may bring in the best returns.

Third chapter down on paper and for motivation created a book cover using pixabay and canva. I love canva.

I have 30 people on my launch team so far. Quite happy with that.

Anyone had any joy with FB groups amor are they useless?
