Hi chaps,
I am a developer with no passion/time for marketing. I have a tinder bot, I own VPS', massplanner, FB IG Twitter Tumblr accounts etc but I prefer to spend my time coding than marketing.
We are paying $0.90 per signup per month (for the lifetime of their membership). Although that's measured in dollars our product is definitely more based to the UK market and is very unlikely to sell in USA. We have built a platform dedicated to viewing registering users for the referral link to monitor your sign-ups vs natural sign-ups.
I do not wish to give too much away to a fairly open forum but my website is top quality for the right audience, however I believe that it is more difficult to market something that people can get for free (free with a tonne of ads anyway!). The ideal type of person for this website is therefore fairly illiterate computer users as the website has been made for simple viewing including browser compatibility and mobile compatibility too and completely ad-free inside the members area. Making the target market 30-50 year olds who can use Facebook and therefore maybe the site should be advertised in Facebook groups as I have failed with twitter and reddit in the past. Word of mouth has been the most successful promotion type thus far and whilst it will continue to grow itself, I would prefer to get some people in to JV.
Thanks
