So, if you're a regular user of Instagram you've probably stumbled upon some of Justin Bieber's post of the "Explore"-page lately. Well, I believe he is doing one of the biggest social media marketing campaigns ever done (music wise, at least). So everyday he posts 2-3 pictures with a big Instagrammer (and famous people overall) with 500K-10M+ followers holding a sign saying "Justin Bieber. What Do You Mean? *days left until release*" Here are an example: So, for the last month (I believe) he have posted 2-3 pictures a day - that's 60-90 pictures promoting his new single (or album or whatever it is). I find it really interesting that he uses such a big marketing method for just his social media and I am excited to see if he breaks his other records by this campaign or not. To my knowledge, this is the biggest social media marketing campaign ever (that are non-paid). Let me clarify, I believe that all these huge stars actually did it either because they are under the same labels, know each other or want publicity on their own - or maybe a mixture of all of it. I don't think this is the biggest campaign using paid advertisement (PPC or paying celebs a fortune to market their product/service), but this technique is definitely interesting. What do you think, do you think this technique will work in his favors or will it just be annoying to all of his followers? If this methods becomes a huge hit, are we about to see more campaigns like this from Justin Bieber and many other people? Wouldn't that hurt more than it would do good as Instagram would turn into a promoting mess (which it is already, but only to a certain extent). Interested to see others opinions about this!
