    Hello everyone,

I am new here. I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post this.

Recently, my partner and I started a coffee catering business and are based in Singapore. We operate from a customised mobile cart and are planning on catering to events, weddings, exhibitions, corporate meetings, and etc.

We are currently using Instagram and Facebook to post advertisements and put out marketing material. However, how do we target or rather , what kinds of companies do we approach to get clients? Other than through word of mouth and my business contacts, I understand that we have to contact marketing/advertising agencies?

I am very new to the business world and this is our first venture. I'd appreciate everyone's comments, feedback, and suggestions.

Go to wedding industry conventions and hit up the exhibitors

Go to hotel industry networking events

You gotta go out there and shake hands and network

    Thanks
Thanks! I am currently trying to do that now. In fact, I already have a networking session coming up. In that case, what's the best way to approach them? Do I reveal the actual cost of service? When do I pass them my name cards? I attended a coffee exhibition recently and was talking to a couple of exhibitors/suppliers. I was kinda afraid to pass them my name card but I did tell them what my business was about. For those that seemed genuinely interested in helping a small business, I did exchange name cards with them.
