I heard from a reliable source that the Mods in BHW allows the FBI to access hidden content on the forum?

Plus... a few Mods/high ranking members will be testifying against the creator of saucekit?

This news shocked me a little... can there be some clarification..

ps- we need to be slightly more careful around here...

just searched google - take it with a grain of salt

"News is coming in thick and fast that cookie stuffer Christopher Kennedy may face a $250`000 and or 5 years in jail for defrauding ebay by selling his cookie stuffing kit called saucekit.

When Christopher was arrested the FBI allegedly seized his customer list and are making enquirys.

If reports are true and ebay have access to the customer list they can go back through all their accounts and recover any payments they believe were made through cookie stuffing.
Lot`s of people are very worried now because they know they were fraudulently making over $10`000 a month from ebay and amazon with cookie stuffing and faked referrers.

heres another one - take it for what its worth

"Federal prosecutors have charged a Las Vegas man with conspiracy to commit wire fraud for allegedly creating a cookie-stuffing program aimed at bilking eBay.

In papers filed this week in federal district court in San Jose, the authorities accused Christopher Kennedy of creating the ?saucekit? program, which allegedly deposited cookies on the computers of people who visited sites within eBay?s affiliate program, regardless of whether those users clicked on an ad. If they subsequently visited eBay and made a purchase, the affiliates who deposited cookies would get referral fees from eBay ? even in cases where the users had not clicked through to the auction site, according to the authorities.

The court papers also allege that Kennedy once boasted in a post on www.blackhatworld.com that one of his clients had earned almost $17,000 in a two-month span. "

Perhaps. But will not be able to use in the court of law.. they will need to obtain information via other formal means if the information is to be admissible.

Man Guilty In eBay 'Cookie-Stuffing' Fraud

A view of the eBay website.
    CBS
A Las Vegas man will be sentenced in federal court in San Jose in November for carrying out a crime known as "cookie stuffing" against the online auction site eBay.

Christopher Kennedy, 28, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge James Ware on Thursday to one count of conspiring to commit wire fraud. He will be sentenced by Ware on Nov. 1.

U.S. Attorney Joseph Russoniello said Kennedy admitted in the plea that he created and sold a cookie-stuffing program on his website between January and November 2009.

The program was known as "saucekit" and Kennedy's website was www.saucekit.com.

According to documents filed by prosecutors, the program enabled advertisers to deposit fraudulent "cookies," or Internet code, on the computers of people who used San Jose-based eBay's website for online auctions.

The cookies fraudulently gave the advertisers credit for bringing about the computer users' online purchases, even if the computer user hadn't been directed to eBay by their advertisement, and even if the computer user never even saw the advertisement.

As a result, advertisers that used the saucekit program were able to collect referral fees from eBay to which they were not entitled.

The wire fraud conviction carries a possible maximum sentence of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and a possible restitution order, but the actual penalty will be determined after consideration of federal sentencing guidelines.

Kennedy was charged with the crime in February. He is currently free on a $50,000 bond while awaiting sentencing.

Well...Legally they can not use information on blackhatworld as evidence since it violates the terms of service upon registration, however they can obtain/record any suspicious information and further investigate upon it to track down specific violations.

@Toyo I just wanted to say that I have read many of your posts since I been a member here at BHW, and can figure out that you have been in the Black Hat industry for quite some time now.

With that being said whether the accusations are true or false (either which I have the slightest idea) you should already know what and what not should be talked about on a public forum. I am pretty sure that you are a careful individual who really does not have to worry either way if the FBI has anything to do with this forum.

    hidden section could include PMs.

@tymillz I don't do anything so illegal to be afraid, but I use my home/office internet connection to access bhw, and I've posted some shit around here, I won't be shocked if they have went through my PMs :p(makes me feel more important, hehe).... I'm not the paranoid kind who uses 2 VPNs to access BHW, so these kind of info does move me a little...

If the FBI has a customer list and the customers are able to be found, you can bet that this is not the only guy going to Federal Prison for this.

exactly what I was going to say. I ve also have been reading your posts here and I dont think you should worry about it unless you were doing cookie stuffing then otherwise I would simply tell you " Run nigga run dont let those pigs get you".

I still remember when cookie stuffing was a big thing back in the day at bhw but now it has die down or i rarely hear about it now a days.
