What do you think about an app that audits instagrammers (blackhat influencers). The system is pretty sophisticated. It even checks for Follow/Unfollows. I talke to the dev and he outlined this to me in an email: Unlike social blade, my system scrapes every minute on a targeted user. SB does 1 day snapshots so some users try to follow/unfollow the same amount in 24 hours. As you can see in the charts, you can see the large upswings and downswings in the following. As for engagement pods/telegrams. DM groups are easy to to spot as my system can scrape 30,000 comments in 45 minutes. Once you enter an influencer name in, it scans their last 20 post. Some posts may have 1,5000 comments. Then it looks for users who have repetition. If it finds matches, it will scrape those commenters' recent 10-20 posts to see overlaps. This way, I can differentiate from the loyal fans/hashtag commenters/and first responders. PODS are usually a core group of 4-20 people. The same people show up in all the post and comment each other within the 1st 3 hours. This system detects and reports that. It delivers the results in an Excel file with links to the comments/post. Telegram is harder because I've had to scrape 300 users as some of those groups are large. Not impossible but it requires more compute time.. If a client wants to vet that detail, I can dedicate multiple servers to flesh that out.
