Just purchased Jr. VIP and want to ensure I don't break any rules with regards to selling on the platform.

I've read the set of market place rules quite meticulously but I'm still not fully certain as to what is and isn't allowed. I saw someone get banned over a violation labeled as "selling outside of the marketplace" so I just want to confirm how we're allowed to promote our products and services. For example, am I allowed to reach out via DM to offer a service if I don't have a marketplace listing? How does that relate to threads posted on HAF? Can my signature lead to a site with a product/service that isn't listed on the marketplace? Do we receive infractions for selling outside of the marketplace or is it an instantly bannable offence?

Additionally, I may just be being stupid at this point, but I've read that there's a Jr VIP section somewhere but I can't for the life of me find it right now.

The dude who got banned is me  you cant sell anything outside of marketplace, haf or jv.

Go to forums and you'll see junior vip section

You can respond to HAF and WTB threads via DM or in their thread itself even if you do not have a marketplace listing.

You cannot sell otherwise and that includes every subforum as well as random DMs because you see someone interested in what you offer in a discussion thread.

Your signature can link to a product or service that is not listed in the marketplace per rules 5 and 5.1.

We warn before banning 99% of the time but now and then we have to ban right away.

Did you receive a warning prior to getting banned?

Honestly i was in the same position as you, i had a MOD helping me out and i spammed him with questions. Try to read the rules multiple times that's how i ended up getting them :)

Gotcha, thank you.

If let's say someone were to reach out to you via DMs regarding the products/services you're promoting in your signature, are we allowed to entertain such convos? Would that still be considered an infraction of selling outside of the marketplace?

I'd suggest you send them to the site that is in your signature for any questions.

Additionally, if one were to say, post a guide/manual that has links leading to a particular product/service or post tutorials of bots that they themselves own, would that be considered promotion and be a bannable offence? I've seen a bunch of tutorials get posted on setting up Jarvee but I didn't witness them get taken down or get reprimanded for doing so.

If you post something promotional you are going to get warned if it is seen by staff or reported.

We do that often with YT videos that people post that have promotional links in their descriptions.

It could be a bannable offense if the actions for which the warnings are issued persist, posting a guide or manual that then lists or shares your product as a solution to the thread you made is classified as "spammed advertisements" which is a three-point infraction, I know as I once received this myself.

Take for example you create a thread on making a hundred dollars a day on Twitter but then have a banner to your Twitter guide that is for sale, that is an example of spammed advertisements and would not be allowed as it is quite obvious what is happening.

That is actually allowed as long as the thread is not promotional.

If one has knowledge to share in an industry where they are actively selling but do not make the content promotional that does not violate the terms of service.

It is when the content becomes promotional where it goes outside the lines.

Oh, I got this yesterday when I posted a genuinely helpful video which I have zero connection with it's creator. Like "deleted for spamming". I was shocked though.
Does that mean YT videos even if helpful to others are not allowed once they have promotional links in thier description?
And is this a recent policy update or it's been so forever?

That has been that way for as long as I can remember.

It is impossible to know if that video was yours or someone else's so we do not allow promotional content on the forum without the forum owner getting paid.

I will use the thread for a similar question regarding Telegram channels. Not groups or chats. I am talking about a channel that is like a personal blog, in the internet marketing niche, but run in a Telegram channel. A viewer is not going to be able to comment or post anything, just read or watch the content posts.

Would that be acceptable to be linked to in a signature?

That is allowed in a signature as it is not another forum or group as there is no interaction between the members.

That actually came up in a meeting a bit ago as a matter of fact.

Thank you for the answer. I asked the support and they told that is forbidden.

Glad that it can be done! :)

I remember that ticket and it was not clear that it would be a channel where there would be no interaction so we erred on the side of caution.
