just moved to Arvixe did i made a wrong move

    my previous hosting is a bit of a problem my script required php 5 which they dont provide and i saw numerious other admin running it on arivxe with no problem but after purchaing personal class on arivixe i cant seem to set the dns to point to arivxe since it was being registerd on a differnt company but i can seem to make it work i contacted arvixe support and they where like okay read this blog they send me a links and was like thanks for using arvixe i was like huh! your kidding right i contaced them again got the same staff (indian dude) at least Look like one with the same attitude didnt even care to listen to my issue is anyone having issue with arvixe?

    Stay clear please, not worth the hassle.
    I faced real bad downtimes and inaccessibility albeit changing servers.

    I'm using arvixe services for about 5 months now, had no problem with the support, I always contact them via Live Chat and get my questions answered quickly. As Commoner mentioned before, there are sometime issues with hosting/servers.

    OMG i would change this RIGHT AWAY and i'm not joking !

    Don't build something with them. In fact good luck trying to build something with them anyways.
    See how long i've been online ? Well they are the WORST hosting company i have ever encountered.

    Plus, if you don't like "level support" crap, it is isn't the place to go.

    They had the balls to send an invitation sometimes ago:
    We would like to have you back. We know you had problems but we are ok nowblahhh blahhhh


    YEAH RIGHT !
    Trust me i'll go with you boys once again (pathetic)

    1) Slow ass FTP/disconnecting
    2) Slow ass/bad support (nothing gets really fixed before exchanging numerous emails)
    3) Even on VPS, things don't go like planned ! Mysql problems, settings problems etc...
    4) Finally when everything is ok, the hole sh*t goes down (again) for another reason and if you are not aware about it, your stuff if offline for a while and then, you need to start again and sometimes from SCRATCH

    A nightmare ! I'm telling you.

    Well have you contacted them about a refund first ?
    If you are still under the 45 days, you can revoke the Paypal payment. After that, it will be hard so act fast

    I actually like Arvixe a lot tbh. Never had problems with them (VPS/shared hosting).
    Never tested the Dedicated Server though.

    Hmm.. Overall, I have a great experience with Arvixe. It's like this with every web hoster: some have problems and say it's shit and others are perfectly fine with the same company.

    Oftentimes it's the provider's fault for not acknowledging a part of their user's demographics. Way back I had the opportunity to work with my brother, he ran a fairly big web hosting business (before the advent of the mega-companies, and of course, before EIG's monopolizing behemot), and back then there were different types of users.

    The initial efforts only catered to the tech-savvy user, and thus our client base that was in need of web hosting but had zero-knowledge got neglected. After a series of surveys it was obvious that such client type made up for 3/4 of the client base, and the efforts to provide better documentation (step-by-step, easy to follow) really paid off.

    What I mean to illustrate is that sometimes the providers fail to "explain the obvious" or make documentation or procedures easier to understand or follow, hence the different perceptions of the same service.

    From what you say, it looks like an obvious mistake.

    I don't know them, but I would rather stick with the big companies and pay a little more, then pay less and get a shitty support.
