Hey guys! I'll try to make this brief. Although I have an understanding of SEO, I'm finding it quite difficult to translate those skills in a way that supplements my income. I'm perfectly aware of how social media boosts rankings (Google+, Twitter shares, Facebook likes, etc), on-page optimization, link building, C-class IP Blocks, domain authority, etc. I'm pretty sure if I don't know it, I have a vague understanding of it and can leverage my pre-existing knowledge to quickly learn it.

With that said, I'm at a loss as to how to churn a profit from this knowledge. Currently, I own zero domains. I've got nothing going. How would I best get started? Mass producing autoblogs is a waste of effort, and content scraping (in my eyes), no longer works. Suggestions? I feel like a car salesman, with no vehicles to sale.

    1) Create a few domains, find a niche that interests you, write a little about it and then do SEO on the domains and throw adsense or come CPA offers up.

    2) Go to a freelance website and do SEO services for others to make money.

    3) All of the above.

The first one sounds like the basis of those shit-tier Wordpress sites that you always seem to stumble upon when you're looking for something. Are you being serious here?

You don't always to have to do something involving SEO.

What about running PPC straight to a CPA offer (frame it on your own domain)? I used to get 2-3 leads per day on small-scale PPC, which translated to about $50 net per day.

Or if you've got any Facebook traffic, why not run a viral campaign with a CPA content lock? Also, you say you know a bit about social media, so try taking advantage of popular events - tons of Casey Anthony pages recently sprung up; the ones that came around first have tons of Likes - and make Facebook pages/events or Twitter accounts. You'll get lots of fans/followers you can continuously market to.

(Example: After the NBA playoffs, two of my friends made a page for the Dallas Mavericks and got 130,000 likes in about 1-2 days. I coded up a viral script and we ran it and got 11,000 visits and about $1500 in around 6-7 hours.)

Or you can do quick Fiverr gigs. Or even run your own SEO, web design, whatever-you're-good-at company, etc.

Lastly, I make almost $1000/month right now of passive income from selling mobile marketing services. It's offline work, and most people are here for online work, but hey, it's easy and it's recurring money. Let me know if you'd like more details on that.

Also, it's nice to see someone else from Texas. :D

I'm surprisingly not kidding at all. I go to my Affiliate Networks, find an email submit of something new that will have low competition but high search volume and I create a website around this offer. I type anywhere from 200-1000 words about the product/service and then put a banner somewhere on the website that catches the viewers eye. For an example, I have a domain I setup, the keyword I SEOed which had little competition at the time got 1,200,000 searches a month. So once I get to the first page for something like that, you can imagine the amount of money that can be made. Just for the record, I have never once setup any kind of blog.

    Hi Allie,

I know what you mean. Obviously people are earning a living at home on this forum but its easy to get lost in the thick forest of info. There's a saying that if you took every cent and credit card from a successful person they'd be able to acquire it back in record time because they KNOW what to earn it all back fast. There is a great example of that going on right now with a cool forum member name pewep. He got himself in a little trouble and lost all he had on legal fees and a short stiint in jail. But he's out and he hit the ground running. Follow his clues and use videos to teach you what you don't know. Use youtube instead of written instructions where possible and good luck!

Oh and as far as money for software you might not be able to afford at the moment check our downloads section and ask about cheap or free, almost as good, substitutes for the software you can't afford yet.
