Gift might be hard... That's why if you went the invoice route you could have challenged not getting product or service.

That doesn't matter, you can still do a chargeback via your credit card company.

Perfect go to your bank, fill out a retraction of payment form and they will claw it back if it is within a time limit if it was debit based. You will get it back in the next 3 days. If it's your credit card call and cancel the payment/ fraud.

If you cancel this payment via your CC, you're cancelling a payment to PP. They might block your account.

Let's hear from @wick-ed - it's your best solution to solve this with him/her.

Never use FnF for the 1st trade, bro
Contacting paypal has no use as for Fnf
But you could try contacting bank, request for a chargeback.

requesting payment as gift should have raised a red flag. no genuine business payment is sent as gift

Lol why would one even consider gift/f&f payment? This is a 101% scam sign always.
When some one insists on f&f I just ignore/blacklist them no matter what. The only time when it works is if you do currency exchange which is not the case here and is always risky.
If you paid as gift you're the only one to blame.
Lol if the seller asked for f&f he/she is a scammer and they won't be of any help.
