Just got myself into a load of shit, what to do?

    Hey guys,

    Ok so me and my friend are currently organising a event for a client.

    The client emailed me a few hours ago saying that she wouldn't pay us the full amount. I was REALLY pissed off. so I forwarded to my partner with "FUCKING SLUTS" in the title. No he went and replied to this email and DIDN'T CHANGE THE TITLE! So she's gonna get a massive shock when she gets this.

    So now we are literally fucked. I am shitting myself right now. The event is on Saturday are we are gonna be in big debt if we don't sort it.

    Can anyone help me to think of a solution. I'm so embarrassed right now, I can barely speak :/

    Create a new address and email her from that address. Tell her your old email has been hacked into and someone is sending out messages on your behalf and that this is your new address.

    Once you've sent her that email. Start emailing her granny porn and other stuff so it looks like someone is definately messing with your account.

    You'll be fine just make it look believable.

    Hmm that would work but the problem is the email is fully legit. We were serving her shit for not paying us the whole lot, so it would make a lot of sense to her that we put that in the title, but at the same time she is still going to be offended.

    Pretty difficult situation to get out of. I would try to blame it on a virus or something. Send some more related emails to your partner about the event with the same words in the title. Ask him to forward those emails to some other clients with the same words and then quickly follow up with an email to the other clients saying that a virus has messed up your emails.

    That way, when your main client seeks an explanation, you can forward her the other emails that you sent to your other clients with the same problem.

    If you really want to go further, write a blog somewhere about a virus that attacks computers and leaves the words "fucking sluts" in the title. Write it like a blog that describes a real virus. Get it indexed and keep it handy to forward her the link when she gets suspicious. Just mention in the blog that the virus just broke out or something.

    Usually you have to tell a thousand lies to cover one up but I guess this is one possibility.

    If it was me however, I would just admit to a poor mistake or just forget about the contract.

    We need the money to pay for the event, if we don't get the money, then we loose money. And it's going to be like $5k

    I'm going to have to apologize, just gotta figure out what I'm gonna say. We can't really back out and neither can they so thats a slightly positive point.

    You haven´t replied/answered WHY you have "fucking sluts" in title.

    Why not "Hi, read this!" or anything else? :)

    The Dark One has the best idea here. Email her immediately and say your email account has a virus as you clicked on a dodgy link or something.

    Your partner is also a moron. Schoolboy error.

    Do what the person up top suggested with the virus, but blame it on a jealous ex that's looking through your emails, be it your partners or yours, who really gives a shit.

    Kick your partner in the shin as well...

    You could try the "It was a virus" clause, however nowadays people pretty much know that you're talking bullshit the second you mention a mistake "Must have been a virus"..

    Yup just sent her a shit load of spam.

    I just sent her a email saying WTF is going on and I'll look into it. I also apologized if it offended her so hopefully we can sort it out.

    Doesn't matter just say the person is replying to all your emails. Tell her that you are having to reply to all your clients to apologise to each and every one of them as this person has replied and abused all your clients.

    the moment you contact her she knows its for real


    you would have to wait for her to contact you and ask you what the hell - then say our system was hacked -- and honestly I doubt it is believable.

    DON'T BE A KID NOR LISTEN TO KIDS ADVISE,

    "My E-mail was hacked / Wait for her to call you / etc." is not something that a business person say or do.
    There is only one human mature solution to this.


    Call her (best before she gets it), and explain to her what is going to arrive at her inbox.
    Explain that you truly, sincerely apologize for the language and that this does not reflect the way you feel about her (I truly hope for you that you don't think that about your customers), and you got caught up on an emotional impulsive moment and wrote it.

    Thats the only way for you.

    2 times in this forum I advised people to get their language in place. And here is a very good example why.

    IMPORTANT PS - Don't ever communicate what I wrote in E-mail. Telephone or in person only.
