Ok whats up bhw :D I just got a job as a social networker for this organisation - hxxp://xxx.starjam.0rg/

They want me to get the word out via Facebook, twitter and youtube working 2 hours a day. What I was thinking is run a ppc campaign pointing to the fan page (which I will make, do some FBML magic) then get fans on the page and post their videos from youtube on the page as status updates.

Pretty basic stuff and I'm an experienced Facebook marketer.

I was wondering is there anything more I could do? It's only a temporary position but I really want to do a great job.

Any ideas?

First thing is I would probably remove the url from your post, they may not be happy if they find out your looking for ideas promoting them on BHW.

Apart from that what TheTurd said get a twitter campaign up and running pointing it at the fan page and just make sure it looks professional and not to spammy.
 
Well, he already said he's using facebook, twitter, and youtube. So suggesting a twitter campaign seems a bit redundant. You could possibly try myspace, digg, yahoo answers, submit articles/reviews to article sites that link to the fan page.
 
Ok well what I am doing so far is setting p a targeted PPC campaign linking to a fully designed fb page with a landing fbml tab that looks really slick :) Then also I am going to use the twitter account and start following other New Zealanders (there aren't much) and the ones that don't start following me, I won't follow. Also, when I get enough fans on the Facebook page I will start posting their Youtube videos to get some views.

Anything else you can think of?

Sarcasm? Their Facebook page isn't a page its a profile and has 300 friends. Twitter account has like no followers. They have the accounts but nothing happening.

So there are many out there

Read about "Community management" it is different when you are doing relations for a company... It's basic PR on social media.
