It's human to make mistakes, that's a lesson learned for him.

Isn't cutting losses the most logical thing you could do in that situation? I wonder how you would go about pumping in money in order to make few unemployed people happy.

There is a reason the governments of almost all countries highly regulate securities offerings. To protect people from people who just think they will jump in and start raising money and then they lose it all they just claim its a normal human mistake. The OP clearly didn't have a clue what he was doing, that isn't a mistake, it's fraud because of NEGLIGENCE. The consequences of his actions were easy for any prudent person to foresee.

Sure, limiting his losses is smart for him, but doesn't help the people who he already helped scam. What is he going to do for them? Just say lol sorry tough luck? He just isn't going to take any responsibility for those people's losses and try to find some way to make it up to them at all?

Selling smaryxintects , thanks I'll look into this

Damn man, sorry to hear. Learned lessons don't come cheap sometimes, unfortunately!

it was the first time i made a project, and i searched google and i found it on fiverr, I started discussing my project with the scammer, at first he asked for $500 for the smart contract and UI, then i made a deal with him, at that time i didn't know why when I wanted to pay via paypal, my account was blocked so I decided to pay via crypto, then I decided to continue the chat on telegram, and he said the Smart contract and UI will be ready tomorrow, then I waited until tomorrow, and he finished making it, I should have deployed the contract but he deployed it, and I bought hosting and domain, and my project was completed and what annoyed me he asked for an additional $500 fee and according to okay it doesn't matter anymore the website and contract are ready, just waiting for the launch on 17 may 2022, then there is something that makes me weird, there is a client who chats with me he says *is this trusted?* then I tell him *y a he has made a project for me but he will ask for more payment in the future* and not long after this client said he had paid and he was blocked, after that I felt a strange thing, why was my project completed by him? but my heart still thinks positively, and I did an audit, the audit fee was $1k I have prepared it for promotion in 15 days, I also did a youtube promotion, then after the launch day arrived on 17 may 2022, and I was ready to launch, then ... what makes me feel cheated? so the profit from the project went into his wallet, so it can be concluded that I was cheated by him twice I was really in shock and I was very depressed at that time then I chatted with this developer and he was not honest even though it was clear that I saw in the smart contract the benefits of my project were automatically entered into his wallet and then quickly I decided to delete all telegram, youtube, twitter, discord groups and i have been scammed $2k I'm still dizzy right now, maybe this story is confusing sorry I just wanted to share my experience so it can be a lesson
Sorry for the loss buddy. Gotta stay safe out there when sending any crypto. Sometimes it can help to only send a small amount of money before and after something is delivered to you / services rendered. So half up front half after etc..

Sorry for your loss but crypto is a wild west and you need to be very vigilent.

you find him on fivver? with no reviews?
He have reviews, maybe fake reviews
can you link his profile/gig?
https://www.fiverr.com/axmorozzz
This is the scammer , i think this fake profile , i think he is from indian, i see from his timezone

Thank you all for the advice, next time I will be more careful

Happy Birthday to you :D
Lollll

Please use paragraphs when posting on bhw. How on earth do you expect me to read this?
Sorry ser, I was so dizzy yesterday that I forgot to make a paragraph

Another reason To know the wallets behind the projects you invest in. You have to build in the crypto space like you're building the next GE. Fiverr was a bad move. They are barley capable of web1 work, why would you trust them with web3? Did you not read the logo complaints? Regardless, my condolences for all losses. I was going to ask you where you got a 1k audit for any complexity of a project... but I think I'll pass.

This is something that no one ever wants to experience but unfortunately it happens all too often

Sorry for you....... Thanks for sharing.

so before even launching you didn't check the process? like the transaction time and how much gas fees is happening, is it creating some weird noise in the contract while processing anything?
and why didn't you complaint on Fiverr regarding the scam? also why not leave a 1 star review and safe guard other who maybe fall for this (i don't think so anyone would be).
and what kind of project you were trying to run where you didn't even bother to check at least 2 times every functionality before launching it to the public that you have spend money to advertise it?

dud don't know it felt like scammer getting scammed

Next time you're paying for such stuff with Crypto:

USE ESCROW SERVICE

Next time be careful. Treat this as a lesson and let not others fool you in future.
