I just purchased a site which sells a product similar to mine, but mine has much more features, looks better etc...

This site gets a ton of downloads for the demo.
So I plan to put my product which has a demo version.
So I hope my investment works. Still waiting to get it running by this weekend.

    But the breakdown is:
I was paying about $1k per month in advertising and getting about 1,500 visitors.
And getting about about $2k in Profit

This site gets about 8k visitors and about 2k downloads per month FREE all SEO, links etc...

So if I do it right I should be saving $1k per month in advertising for abotu the same amount and still get a around $2k profit with no ad payments.

Anyone think this is a good deal as the proof was given that the downloads were legit for about 3 years going back.

Yea, if the traffic is legit and your new site won't lose all of its backlinks now (i.e. if the old owner was linking to it from their own sites and pulls those links) then you should be able to make the investment pay off well.

Personally, I wouldn't necessarily try to "save" the $1k per month you were spending in advertising by replacing it with this site, if you can afford it I would keep running both. Think of it as turning you $2k revenue from $1k ad spend into $4k revenue from $1k ad spend. In other words, if you're making profit from the advertising spend, it's better to add another income stream to that profit rather than try to replace it.

Thanks, I was actually thinking that I should just continue the advertising since it was good for several months not.
    Thanks
