    Hi.

Just wanted to tell any people who are new to buying links and seo services should just take caution.

This is just my experience, but a couple of very well known and respected link/seo providers tried to make me buy the largest packages
of their services for a keyword which i knew was easy competition.

I checked the keyword on a few keyword competition tools, and always got the same result : 'Easy'

I informed the providers when i pm'ed and spoke on skype that the keyword was easy and i only needed the small package ( i had checked the links for the number 1 spot, so knew roughly what it would take to get to first page). These guys have some good reviews so i thought would give them a try.

Their response on both occasions was 'Sorry, but you are wrong, it is a very hard keyword'. I was a bit miffed and told them i had used the keyword tools, and they said the tools are wrong. One of them said 'You have to buy the biggest package to see any good movement' and the other 'You will probably need a couple of large packages to get this in first couple of pages'.

I know it is a business to them, but i thought this was blatantly trying to rip me off, i knew the keyword was easy, but they insisted i was wrong and tried get me to buy the largest package.

So i went back to a provider i had used before who offers custom links at a good price. I built my custom package at around $200 less than the other 2 guys services, and guess what?? I'm on page 1 within 3 weeks with the amount of links i had estimated with my keyword tool.

So if you are a newbie or new to buying links, just do a bit of research on your keywords and stick with what you think will work, and don't automatically believe they are always right. Im sure there are many honest providers but this was my experience.

I won't name anyone on here or on pm, so please don't ask. Thanks :)

If you're a newbie don't buy SEO services.

keep in mind that most programs rank keywords based on the amount of backlinks going to a website. make sure its including authority and other parts of the algorithm that's involved in ranking websites. You're definitely right though.. money always brings this sort of thing out.

Newbies do need to be careful. Buying a service to get ranking is a good way to get ripped off as a newbie. It's better to approach buying a service as "buying convenience." In other words, buy only what you *already* need. And the best way to know what you need for your site, is to educate yourself first.

Of course, there are many exceptions to this and there are some sellers who are very honest and helpful. Sometimes it's hard for a newbie to distinguish between the two, especially if they only look at the seller's reputation point. It's really easy for people to inflate that number if they really wanted to. Reputation point should only be 1 of many things to look out for.

buy/sell service section is a marketplace, just like what we encounter daily in our life. Don't expect each and every one to be the same. Be very careful when you are choosing any.

Don't buy a service if you don't understand it and do due diligence like others have said. If you don't know what certain links bring in value and whether they should have an effect on SERPS then you should keep reading up on SEO before making an order and having preconceptions that can fail you.

Like anything seo services are a business. They are ran for profit, how much you spend is down to you always remember any advice given to you is from someone thats going to charge you.

seo services/package = waste of money in my opinion
you can build quality links yourself 3-4x times cheaper and with greater effect.

What is annoying to me is that I have ordered 2 or 3 services and have clearly had my email put on multiple email lists, I now receive daily spam.
It would be okay if it's the same provider emailing me to say that they have a new service available or that their pricing structure has changed, but to send me crappy promotional deals and stuff that I never exactly signed up for, is just plain irritating.

This big fat bitch with sweaty underarms and bad body odor cut in front of me in line at Wal-Mart yesterday. She kept reaching around and pulling her stretchy pants out from the crack of her ass, then after they tightened-up at the front, she would grab around by her crotch, which then made her stretchy pants slide back into the crack of her ass. I don't think she was wearing any underwear, so there wasn't anything to "block" the stretchy pants from sliding directly into her ass crack. (Note: *They shouldn't call it underwear, they should call it "ass crack blocking fabric".)

This went on for a long time (it was a long line) and after about the 3rd or 4th time, after she pulled the stretchy pants from her crotch, she pretended to scratch her nose, but what she was really doing was smelling her finger. Back & forth, back & forth. Ass-crack pull, then a crotch grab, then a scratch & sniff. Not sure what was in her crotch that made the smell so interesting. Maybe she had a yeast infection, I don't know.

Anyways, all the annoying things in life are all relative to all the other annoying things in life. You don't realize how good you have it with your unwanted spam emails until you have to stand in line at Wal-Mart behind a fat, sweaty pig of a woman that enjoys the smell of her yeast infection.

you are buyer you have choice of what to buy. In their defense sometimes it says easy when it is in fact a really competitive term and vice versa. Do you think if you had built the links by hand yourself you may have achieved the same rankings?

(NOT DEFENDING BST Marketplace providers in any way)

Sorry but I can't take this thread seriously. The providers can still be right. 1st page spot is worth norhing - You have to get in the top3 to get any serious amount of traffic. And I don't think it would be fair to mention any names here.
