People always ask, is my site in it?, how do I get out of it?, does it exhist?

The table below pretty much shows a sandbox effect. It also shows that you can come out of it in a good position.

I've got a method. It's not a very technical method - but it works for me.

I just keep doing whatever it was that I was doing, maybe even ramp it up a bit.

Don't panic, don't even worry about it. My site has over 300 different product pages and I'd probably have 5 or so in the sandbox at any time.

Hey Party, by sandbox did u mean that the site was completed deindexed from Google? Meaning that the site won't show up even if you put in google site:xxx? Or you mean a google dance? Whereas the site goes from e.g. position 10 to 500th.

Anyway thanks for sharing the experience, yeah the google dance is nothing to worry about, the site will come back and higher.

my sites indexed in google and ranking for subpages but the homepage has lost rank for everyone of its keywords for around a week now it was a fairly new site (5 weeks old) is it sandboxed? i never used any excessive link building strategies just strong quality links like directory submissions, bookmarks, press releases a few high pr forum profiles (around 300), few article submissions and thats it was ranking fine page 1 for one of its keywords then all of a sudden bam not ranking for any keyword, it still shows up in google when i type the url and shows up when i put "site:" with all its subpages any ideas?

I'm having the exact same issue as well. My home page has dropped out of the results, but comes back using the same search terms you mentioned. I really don't understand why. The only link building I had done was putting links to it in my signatures of a few forums I frequent, which is a standard procedure for all new sites of mine.

I'm also experiencing that problem for two sites.

It is actually very common, if you ignore and keep doing what you were doing, they will be back. I've experience this quite a lot now that I don't even worry about it anymore.

Do you mean that your site was not coming up in Google even with site:yoursite? Or that it was gone from the first pages?

okay so it was dancing rather than being sandboxed but yeah I'm happy for you that it's back up. Hope you are making some money on page 1. Some keywords don't even bring me a penny when I took a lot of work to get on page 1.

Do you mean that your site was completely deindexed?

Again if you could get your site sandboxed for using XRumer, then I could blast the hell out of my competitors with XRumer and get rid of all the competitors on page 1. It's not XRumer that got you there, you are probably Google Dancing, a lot of sites are doing that after the recent algorithm update. Trust me, just keep doing the normal SEO and it will come back. You just need consistency.

Partmarty is right on the money,
You gotta keep building (it's just v scary - as soon as it happened to me I put the brakes on - possibly worst thing to do lol)

It's v important to know the difference between sandbox & penalty too.

My site was 'penalized' for around 6 months but it wasn't 'sandboxed' (I didn't know the difference)

As I said partymarty is right in my view

To help anyone who wants even more info see this thread - the info in it helped me to get my site back up:

    hxxp://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/buy-sell-services/277135-search-engine-optimization-toolbox-sandbox-rescue-protection-search-engine-optimization-security-consulting-optimization.html

PS - it has great explanation of things as well as describing difference between 'penalty' and 'sandbox'
PPS - i've cleared it with op before posting this as didn't want to 'hijack' thread

    Thanks Partymarty:)
