Just an observation, does anyone else see this?

I have been in IM about 5 years roughly. Just recently I have come across a lot of people having crisis or about to be in one. I tend to take on a lot of projects that require joint venturing with others.

I recently came across a guy who wanted a marketing person (Which I am really good at) He had the other essential tools, but he came to me after we made an agreement and was telling me about a few things that have happened to him and for some reason my red flags went up immediately.

Do you ever have this? Where you get a red flag alert that makes you not really want to do business with an individual for the potential that you may not get your end of the deal?

I have learned not to do business because people's "drama" always seemed to end in me not getting paid.

Is this paranoia? Or am I on the right track?

just wondering if I am the only one?

Think we all come across this from time to time. Best choice is to usually trust your gut. If it feels familiar...in a bad way, run the other way!

I have nothing to say on this thread so I'll just add a random quote.

Take action!

Trust your gut! Every time I didn't it caused me bigtime grief. If you have a client you have a contract and you stick to it. So it does not come to the job that time forgot.

I'll agree with everyone. Be happy that you have what is needed in this business and that is the ability tofeel in your gut if it is right. Just like the boss on NCIS!

It's happened to all of us I'm sure. Just go with your instincts and follow them OP. If things don't feel right, they probably aren't.

Yeah, I think I might back out while the loss is min.
