I just got a phone call telling me my cousin died today. He was 39, in great shape (fireman), healthy and happy and his 4 year old son found him dead in the back yard. I hadn't seen him in many years as our lives took us in different directions but we kept up with each other through our parents. When we were kids we were great friends and spent all summer together every year. As I write this, I'm sitting on the porch of my summer house looking out at the lake and remembering all the fun we had swimming there as kids. I was excited because I was going to see him next weekend for the first time in 15 years. It's our annual family reunion. Instead, I'll be attending his funeral on Wednesday and thinking about the missed chance to talk to him again. So, this is just a reminder to you to not let time get away from you. You never know what will happen so if there's someone you've been meaning to call or see, DO IT!
