Yesterday I bought a combo of chicken wings which included fries and a drink. Delicious food, every alright but suddenly my stomach started to burn and I wasn't feeling alright. I grabbed a beer because I couldn't find something better to relieve my pain. Ok, today I woke up at 4:40 A.M. as usual and wanted to read something about processed food, they make me feel sick lately like Tacobell, I used to love that but now damn I don't want to suffer anymore.

I read a good article about junk food, and something interested about it that I want to share with the community. Processed foods a.k.a junk foods were made to become addicted to them same as drugs, they were created to satisfy our brain and make us buy them more often. Months ago I did something that proved such theory, I couldn't stop eating fast food restaurants every single day before work and after work because I had a good time eating, it wasn't that I was hungry, I was looking to feel better and change my mood.

Now that I found out that all fake food are made with intention, I feel kinda sad and fooled by this industry. So I'm planning to change how I eat, no more food that hurts my body and eat the healthy way. I'm not a vegetarian not planning to do so but heck that food really mess with my stomach.

Any thoughts about such topic? Thanks guys.

I'm aware of that, but the artificial enjoyment is what I'm mad about it. Same as drugs, the junk food industry want us to become addicted. I thought the purpose of their food was making us fat and stop starving but no, they artificial make the food to fool our brain and think like "if I want to be happier I should eat this thing". They even create their food easy to digest so you don't feel full and you can eat more crap.

Its not artificial, what planet are you on.

I had a steak yesterday after a long day driving. I fucking enjoyed it and it was real fresh, unprocessed food. It probably gave me more enjoyment than a chicken nugget would have.

You should be mad at yourself for eating junk food, this is like blaming spoons for fat people.

Count your calories, fast for 16 hours a day, then enjoy food. The biggest problem isn't so much *what* we eat, it's that we eat WAY TOO MUCH.

Eat 1900-2000 calories per day and depending on your starting size you'll eventually have a 6 pack, no matter what you eat.

But to feel the best, just eat a mixture of fat/protein/carbs, but keep your fat *lower* (not low fat). The reason is fat has 3x the calories, so if you go high fat you won't be able to get as much carbs/fat/volume and you'll feel hungry/deprived. I personally have 1 low fat, high protein meal after my fast, then I have 1-2 medium sized meals later, with 1-2 snacks. My snacks tend to be frozen yoghurt, chocolate, pop chips or cake.

"junk food" probably isn't what you think of as junk food. Burgers, chips, pizza etc is all fine. It's more to do with the quality. A 1000 calorie bacon cheeseburger from five guys makes me feel good. 1000 calories of burgers from mcdonalds and I feel a not as good. Stick to higher quality stuff that's closer to what you'd make at home. The simple way to judge is based on how you feel. If you feel good after you eat it, then it's good for you. If you feel bad, it's bad for you. But you can only do that once you're doing fasting + calorie control. If I ate woke up, had breakfast at 500 calories, snacks worth 800 calories through the day, lunch at 500, then had 3000 calories of five guys at night, I would feel fucking sick.

Start tracking calories every day. 1900-2000 per day. Once you hit your target weight, increase to 2100-2300 and maintain that for life, and any time you feel you want to trim down a touch, do the occasional week at 1900-2000. The secret is intermittent fasting. Eating 2000 calories over an entire day is awful. Eating it over 6 hours feels like a feast, plus IF will "factory reset" your body. Your ghreline levels will normalize. That's your hunger hormone, and it's out of control in most people. It's 3pm here and I've been up since 8am and not eaten since 11pm last night and I'm not hungry yet. I've been doing IF since Oct, and I do 18 hours a day.

Anyone who's interested and wants to know more is welcome to ask me questions.

Processed foods aren't aka junk foods. Not even close.

A brick of cheese is a processed food: perfect to eat.
A powdered taco with a powdered color agent and a powdered consistency agent and some bacteria and plenty of oil is junk food: not perfect to eat.

when im trying to eat junk foods or drink cola, after a few minuites i always feel weak. it's like sucking out my body's energy or something.

since then i stopped eating junk foods / fast foods and i only eat foods that my parents cook / i cook.

i also think that junk foods / bad lifestyle is the cause why i have heart disease.

First of all, You can't expect TOP QUALITY food that is delicious and healthy at same time. Companies have to use raw materials for food that are not that of good quality.
Second, It takes a lot of work just to make your meal. So, Companies need to make sure to max their profit by reducing the cost of different things. That's why your meal is not healthy.

    So, What's the answer?
Make it at home. Try making burgers, pizza and different things that you like to eat outside at your home. It will be healthy and good for your body. Just try making yourself and you should be good to eat food you like that will benefit your body :)

About "companies making food so good that they are like drugs"
    NO! NOT AT ALL!

    Our brain releases dopamine when:
    > We eat food
    > In love
    > Exercise

You feel good when you do one of the above. It's makes your body want more of what makes you happy :)
Food is food. Try making the same food you like at home and you won't stop making more and eating.
And try eating food you hate, Even companies food won't make you love it :D

So, At last. It's all about which food you love and try making it at home so that it is of good quality and healthy for you.

Yes, I feel the same. I remember waking up thinking about Burguer King $1 dollar breakfast burrito + hash browns. My brain was really into that crap they put into their food.

Bro, step 1 is taking responsibility. There isn't some evil conspiracy out there forcing you to stuff your face.

I eat chocolate and crisps every single day, but I don't stuff my face like a pig. I enjoy these things in moderation and factor them into my daily macros.

It is harder right now for you because your hormone levels are FUCKED due to long term abuse of food, BUT, take responsibility. It's all YOUR doing. If you cannot do that first step, you'll forever be a puppet to outside circumstance.

Until you can say "I overeat and eat all this junk food because I find it tasty and I choose to eat it in excess, but now I'm going to start making some changes and regulating the amount I eat", then the food will control you, rather you being in control of it.

This is why 99% of people trying to lose weight in the world follow crap like low carb paleo, high fat paleo, keto diets, high fruit diets, low sugar diets, high sugar vegan diets, low GI diets and you can find all this crap about "foods that burn belly fat" etc.

    It's all nonsense.

At one point during my diet I ate nothing but five guys and chocolate for TWO weeks. I lost weight and gained muscle during that period. My friend at the gym was like "wtf" when I told him. Everyone, including most fitness people don't get it.

And the reason I lost weight was simple. I was fasting all day, then having a bacon cheeseburger(1k cals), a small fries(300 cals) and a dr pepper zero(0 cals). Then I'd have 400-500 cals of chocolate later on, bringing me in at a nice aggressive diet at 1700-1800 cals, and I felt fucking fantastic every day :) Losing weight AND eating burgers and chocolate feels good. Of course, five guys is closer to home cooked meals. I wouldn't do that with cheap shitty burgers, but a burger/fries is just potato/meat/bread and chocolate is just sugar, cream, milk, coco etc. There's nothing inherently bad about any of these things, people just eat too much.

But of course, most people don't want to believe that. They want to find some "secret combination" of food that will allow them to keep eating 5000 calories a day and get ripped. And that's the reality. Most people are eating SO MUCH FOOD. Many many people are eating upwards of 4k calories per day, some are on 5k to 7k. A small whole milk latte at starbucks is 200 cals. 3 of them per day and a cake and that's 1k cals added to your day and the average person still has breakfast, lunch and dinner, and probably more snacks. It's unbelievable what people eat, then they blame being fat and unhealthy on everyone else. :)

I don't even talking about overeating or having more calories... I'm talking about how junk food has been designed to make us addicted to them...

    Forget all that stuff :)

It's just your mind's way of justifying everything so it can feel better. The food its self really isn't addictive once your hormone levels are sorted. I'm now 18 hours into my fast and I'm *STILL* not hungry, and I'm discussing food, and looking at pictures of delicious crunchy salty crisps. They look tasty, but I don't feel the urge to go and stuff my face. I'm sure I'll enjoy a bag of them at some point when I feel like it. IF will factory reset you. The choice is yours, you've been given a little window into effortless weight loss and health. You can take it, or you can keep surfing the web for videos that will justify how it's all so hard and the world is out to make it hard for you. You're at a fork in the road here. What you do next will determine your future.
