Obviously not for Wikileaks but for rape allegations. [FONT=&quot] Two girls he had consensual sex with now say the sex became nonconsensual after a condom broke. What kind of bullshit is that? Should we get a written consent and a liability release signed before we have sex with someone and then if a condom breaks, should we stop and have another liability release signed, ideally in a presence of two witnesses, one of whom should be a public notary? Is this the world we live in now?

You got BBC news on as well then? lmao! I don't know what to think... but it was on the basis of a European Law for allegations on committing rape in Sweden... so the foreign office can't do anything other than arrest him.

It might be a bit silly. But, it is what it is.

Hope this guy walks as he appears to all intents and purposes to have done nothing wrong the sex charge in Sweden will be thrown out and the documents he published well if it was not released by WikiLeaks someone else would have published!

yeah, they are just trying to get him for anything really. they want to shut him up,
but a heads up, don't mention much about wikilea*ks on here, don't need the government finding us and shutting us down bro. no offense, but the government is going after alot of people and they aim to shut alot of sites down illegally. its a shame that they make ***** a big story when they wanna ddos them, but when they ddos someone, they don't mention anything about it, because its ok for them to do it, but not anyone else

This whole case is ridiculous. I seldom comment on issues like these due to the fact they often spiral into a lot of time wasting debate, but I really feel for Assange. Seems like an obvious attempt to push bad press towards him, issuing up a case against him which had never been heard of (at least to my knowledge) before WikiLeaks released those cables out.

In the modern world, governments are service the people of the governed state. By that notion, all people of a state should have the right to know what the government is doing on their behalf, in their name, and with their tax money.

Most of us probably had already realized long before this, that this is clearly not the case, and without poking at any theories of conspiracy, we can at least say that governments don't act in the peoples best interests.

But now with this arrest, and apparent escalations as some government officials wish to have him executed, we see freedom of speech for what it truly is - non-existent.

Hold on - he was arrested over rape allegations, not "death on his responsibility"? How come a president of a country that sends its secret police on kidnapping missions all over the world and then keeps random people locked up in Cuba with no trial for nearly a decade gets a Nobel Peace Prize and a guy who shags a girl and then fails to notice his condom broke has his bank accounts frozen and gets arrested? World is going mad...

Yeah, what he did was somehow admirable (in my opinion) since he exposed the truth to the world. Just hope he gets by this nightmare quickly...

Yeah, I support it as well, I even want to donate money, but it doesn't seem to make any sense - I don't know where to send the money, all his accounts seem to be frozen (paypa1, swiss bank account)... His lawyer should start a fund or something...

Yeah well she might but if they do every single document would be released to every person who downloaded the insurance file. He's sort of blackmailing the government with it. So anything could happen i just don't think it would be wise to kill him.
