A few months ago I started to develop a game for Windows/Mobile. It will be quite big and eventually be my #1 income in the near future... But to get the ball rolling again I need some funds!

That's why I am going to revive my income from marketing again.

This time NO let's earn some Youtube money from ads and quality content. As due to the current changes it would take a long time before the channel could be monetized. I for one have no time for that.

I've read some stuff and asked around in my social networks and gotten the idea to be a Nigerian Prince!! With the difference I don't want to send millions to people...

Model 1 : Youtube + Site + CPA (ogads)

  1. Find a niche
  2. start youtube channel
  3. make your own vids? or get some other channels vids( don't bother to appeal for video, let it be monetized by the original owner. Most of the time they don't mind as they're getting $$ from your traffic.)
  4. On-page SEO the sh*t out of your video. (description/keyword/Tag
  5. If done correctly I will get a few hundred views from the suggested videos of the popular channel
  6. 24h later I will post a comment relevant and with a link to my website.
  7. They will get to my landing page and either complete the locker or leave.
  8. $$ or :(

Math:

So let's say on day 2.
I get 1000 unique views , 80% of those read the comment. My 'offer' has 1% CTR, and converts 10% of the time.
So 1000*0.8 = 800*0.01 = 8*0.1= 0.8 Conversion
That is a lot of effort for a barely 1 convert on 1 day..
But young one, you are forgetting the fact that this is only 1 of the videos, with the bare minimum...

Model 2 : E-mail Marketing + Site (peerfly)

  1. Find niche
  2. Scrape relevant emailadresses
  3. Get a SMTP that isn't blacklisted to go straight to spam
  4. Write Quality post
  5. Sent mails out
  6. $$ or :(

Math:

On day 1 (when I start to send out mails, I consider day 1)
I sent out 2000 mails, I know these people want the product service w/e..
About 70% thinks WTF is this and ignore it. 30% will read it and after reading will come to my site.
They were interested so about 60% will click my offer and 10% will convert.

So 2000*0.3 = 600 *0.1= 60 Conversions

The only problem with Model 2 is the relevant mail addresses. Surely one could buy a list but most of the time they're random and garbage mails that aren't used anymore. High conversion but also more work than Model 1.

I really dont understand the 3. From the first method/model: "let it be monetized by the original owner. Most of the time they don't mind as they're getting $$ from your traffic."

Also, how do you scrape email?

Some of the video's I use are not my own, either they've songs or other stuff that is copyrighted. Most of the time the company will just monetize it on my channel instead of blocking it. But it still gets the job done. Saturday I will make an update post.
 
So what are you eventually going to do? Mass uploading videos to different channels or stick with 1 channel?

A week has passed...

Model 2:

Collected more emails, haven't begun building the site yet, as only TODAY!! was my site approved...

Model 1:

I have tried many niches (including Disney.). Which was obviously instant detected and was not worth to appeal.
Currently I have 3 channels:

Channel 1: High views (20k views, #1 upload) but it got blocked in all countries after 1 day.
But due to its popularity I appealed it, which I had said was not worth it. Anyhow until early april I can't use my web link on this channel. So I will just let it grow.. (during appeal the vid becomes available to all). In my case they will just accept it.

Channel 2: 1 video uploaded without any tags/KW, was checking if this type of video would get detected.

Channel 3: No uploads.

Just over 24 hrs ago servers went down when there was a massive spike and brought the server to its knees. The admins couldn't even log into SSH. So our admins determined that this could be a hardware issue and we immediately contacted the Datacenter to check the server. The server was then offline as they had to do a hard disk check which took 5 hrs and they determined that there was no hardware fault. So we then went back to trying to figure out what the root cause was. Finally we came to the conclusion that Apache which is responsible for all websites was the culprit spiking 100% and this in turn would crash the website and give errors. We then took the step to go even further and hire expert Admins to take a look. They then took hours to determine that Apache was the issue as we concurred earlier, however even they were unable to fix this issue. This was by far our most frustrating experience not having a fix. We have now finally taken the step of deploying a brand new server in a new datacenter and proceeding to do a server to server transfer with brand new installs. This process however will take some time as the backup is gigs and gigs and this process will take at least 6 to 8 hrs. Unfortunately this was the only choice we had. We sincerely regret what has happened. On the bright side the new server is faster and newer than the current hardware.

Weekly update will follow tomorrow.
 
Update 2

It has been a few weeks before I last posted an update, so here it goes..
I've been busy with updating the site, and testing some landing pages in different languages.

Youtube channel 1:
its getting organic views slowly, but due to the fact I've appealed the very first video that had gotten 20k views, I haven't posted anything on it until they stop going through my channel with a telescope...

Also busy with Ogads admins to have somethings sorted out with my Lockers..

Update 3
I had exams so I didn't really focus on this project (was only posting on the forum -,-')
Anyhow I have now 2 streaming sites (subdomain and main )
Both have a different theme and I am currently boosting my alexa rank on the main domain (bot traffic) and sending social traffic to the sub domain..

Main domain and the Sub domain both have a different targeted audience.

Monetise: Currently using PoPcash (as not yet accepted by other CPM networks due to low ass Alexa rank, they're quite stingy about it)
Yt channel have uploaded some more videos today, but can't promote them on social media yet.
Uploaded sitemap for the main domain to Google, but its indexing at a really slow pace (indexed 347 pages in 24hr. So in 10 days the current pages will be indexed.)


Getting the Other site money site which will probably be the more long term one up today!! Already found some automation tools on the Forum for it and data from other sites..
Also found some articles that could be spun. Monetisation of this site should be easier than 'streaming/movie site'

4 copyrighted detected (all short 1:00-2:00 long)

I have better keywords, better VidIQ score but my competition has 95k subscribers, growing up to 1k per day now... and 400-100k more views per video on me..
 
Slow and steady wins the race (hopefully)
