Hello BHW, I am GrumpyBoy and I have been around this forum for quite some time now. I have used popunders in my viral blog to generate some startup cash. But now I want to start in CPA marketing.

I was thinking about promoting CPA offers via bing PPC because I received $200 bing ads coupon from Microsoft. But when I created account and added my Indian debit card, they blocked my account. I called them and they said that it will take 2 days to verify your account but they didn't verify my account. I tried contacting them and then they avoided me saying that my debit card has problems ( VISA Platinum ). Then, I gave up no bing ads.

Now I want to promote sweepstakes, email/zip submit offers through popunders and domain redirects as they are lot cheaper than search PPC.

But first, I need some advice from you guys. Please help me with following problems -

    1) Which Popunders/Redirect traffic network is good? I am thinking about using TONIC but they have a minimum deposit of $50

    2) Should I use landing pages or direct linking? (if offer accepts it) Someone told me that offers with a landing page converts better.

    3) What types of offers should I promote? I am thinking about sweepstakes, email/zip submit offers. Correct me if I am wrong.

    4) Which CPA network should I apply? I am currently working with Adworkmedia and cpalead. Tell me if you some better network than these two.

Please correct me if I am wrong as this is my first paid traffic campaign. I know I am going to fail sometimes. But I want to reduce my chances of big failures by getting advice from you guys.

I will keep this journey updated as soon as I start promoting my campaign. I will share all results with you guys.

    Thanks

    popunders from Popads.net and Propellerads.com + CPI from OGads.com
installs work better as i understood.

You can try popads.net or mediatraffic.

    Day 1

I just applied to Peerfly & Maxbounty. Now I am waiting to get my application approved. I think I will probably get rejected at phone interview as I got rejected earlier for 2 times. If I don't get approved, I will just stick with AdWorkMedia. They all have a lot of good Sweepstakes and Email/ZIP submit offers.

One Question: I don't have a hosting account. Should I get a hosting or should I just host my landing pages with Wix.com. Or should I just direct link to the CPA offer (if advertiser allows it)?

My budget is just $100. So I will use just $20-30 for testing and rest will be used on a winning campaign.
I think I am going to test both with and without landing page and see which converts better. Wish me luck

Your budget is really too low, before starting with paid traffic you really need more money. I'm not sure with $20-$30 you won't even find a single conversion

Popunders traffic is really cheap. I can easily test 3-5 offers in $20-30

I know it's cheap but remember if it was so easy everyone would be doing it. Popunder have a lot of fake traffic that you need to filter out, so you need a tracking for sure too and you will need to test different offer with different landing page and blacklist all fake traffic. Anyway i can always be wrong, let us know the results

I am thinking about testing Sweepstakes & Email/ZIP submits. I will first spend small amount of money on each campaign and then I will decide which campaign is best. I will be testing with and without landing page.

And yes, I know popunders have lots of fake traffic. Can I use google analytics on my landing page to filter out fake and real traffic?

No no no no no no no NO!!!!!

Do NOT run email subits with popunder traffic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Go to a high traffic site that uses pops, see what they serve. You will find that most is some kind of chrome extension. I have sold pops for several years now and I am yet to see a submit campaign that actually converts.

    I am dead serious.

I always used a paid tracking, don't know about google analytics for that purpose. Test yourself if you can find any conversion or winning campaign with that budget. Good luck ;)

If you want to do media buying, you should look into native ads instead.

Pops as advertising format has declining rates, throughout all networks. While that would give you loads of cheap traffic, it will also give you poor conversions.

If pops still converted well, rates would not be on the decline.

I don't think I can afford testing native ads with $100

Then find a cheaper network, or save up so you have $100. Your plan with the pops is doomed to fail.

I will be testing both popunders and domain redirect traffic with email submit offers.

I won't know if it fails or succeeds until I test it.

If you want to have a remote chance of success, I recommend you sign up to targeleon.com
They have a smartlink you can send pop traffic to, you can optimize as well in the dashboard.

They pay out weekly by paypal.
