[JOURNEY] Using my knowledge to try Faceless channels

Update Number 13 :
- 11 Videos are up now
- got 130 subs so far!
- 23K views in Total
- I skipped uploading one day (I was Lazy)
- I Tried to publish a video with minimal editing yesterday and it worked well, so I'll keep it as simple as possible from now on.

PS: I skipped uploading a video because of this blog post by YouTube two days ago what do you guys think ?

The YT blog focuses on YouTube's approach to responsible AI innovation and doesn't specifically address the monetization of AI voice or Text-to-Speech audio.

However, it discusses the introduction of disclosure requirements and content labels for AI-generated content, including videos that have been altered or are synthetic.

It also touches on content moderation powered by AI, and future removal requests for AI-generated content that simulates an identifiable individual.

Well, I'm not sure how YouTube distributes the shorts especially if you don't have subs yet but I'm assuming it is the same as TikTok so if you are from an Asian country 80% of the audience is going to be from Asia, looking at my stats so far 53% are from the US around 30% are from Canada and then comes India and other countries. I'm based in Canada so I think it makes sense.

YouTube and TikTok works differently in terms of region targeting. TikTok generally first locks you in your region and then distributes the video later to other regions too.

YouTube don't seem to do that.

Oh no I wasn't asking for your niche haha just wanted to know if you're specifically targetting a single niche on your channel, or multiple niches.

I read that article earlier - no Canada yet but there is hope. I wonder if you could open a Corp in the US or UK though and earn that way?
Focusing on one niche! but I picked a really broad one so I don't run out of ideas, and I already have a UK corp do you think I can use that with Tiktok to get the creator fund?

Update Number 15 :
- 15 Videos are up now
- got 201 subs so far!
- 38K views in Total
- I'll upload a new video later.
I noticed that YouTube will randomly push your videos, it is not related to the quality of editing at all for example I took 5h to edit one video over the weekend which got like 10 views in 3 Days, and yesterday I published a quick shitty video and got 1.2k in the first 30 min. All the videos that got views have only one thing in common, I need to test this a few more times just to be sure, if it works then it is just a numbers game.

Update Number 16 :
- 15 Videos are up now
- got 224 subs so far!
- 39K views in Total
-I didn't upload a video yesterday, started editing too late and I know I'll ruin a whole day if I don't sleep enough so I stopped
- I'll upload the video later today

Update Number 17 (day 23) :
- 17 Videos are up now
- got 322 subs so far!
- 45.8 K views in Total
- I'll upload another video later today!
my thoughts : (thinking out loud )
I'm confident that if I continue like this I can get 1000 Subs in one more month, 5 days left until the end of this month, and 7 days left until that channel is 1 month old. if I hit 500 Subs in total in the next 5 days then 1000 subs might be sooner than that.
Once I'm three to four days close to hitting 1k, I'm going to start looking for freelancers, for script writing and video editing + thumbnail design I'll dedicate not more than 200$ - 300$ max for this video if I find a good freelancer. The next goal is to monetize the channel and get the 4K watch time!

Let's do this!

200$-300$ for one video? And you upload one video everyday?
No bro, I'm doing only shorts now and doing everything myself, I m talking about if I hit 1K sub I'll pay someone to do I high-quality long-form video for me and that's my budget for a really good one. my goal is to spend 1000$ or less to get the channel monetized organically (5 to 6 good videos). when the channel starts making money I'll reinvest the money in making more videos. I can do editing myself but it will take me a long time to publish one video because I m really busy

I got 100 + subs last night while sleeping and if you see my last post (yesterday)I was hoping to achieve 500 subs in the next 5 days hahaha, I think I might hit 1K before this month's end. So excited for this !!!

a little tip that I tried myself some time ago with shorts.
When a video only got me 10-20 views, I deleted it, waited 24 hours and uploaded it again.
Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't, but for the effort it's worth trying.

Thank you so much for the Tip, I'll give it a try for sure ? but do you think YouTube is okay with that ? like it is not going to hurt the channel ?

I only try one more time, if the second time I upload the video it doesn't get views I don't try to upload it again.

Those are really nice steady and growing numbers, good to see everything is going well in your channel.

As expected I hit 500 subs before the end of the first month, I can't wait to post here my first dollar from this channel, I hope I can come back to this comment few month from now and thank myself for committing to this journey, What do you guys think of this progress ?

So inspiring bro , keep up the good work!
But i have ssen some creators saying that shorts may be hurtful to your channel and they got some logic : they said that the follower base you are creating this way (using shorts) is a short attention span viewers , they wont stick around for more than 40s average. So if you are trying to build a long format channel i dont think it s good to boost it via shorts and then turn it into a long format channel. I think you should share a long format video every once in a while so you kinda get a mix of followers.
I m not trying to discourage you or anything , your journey is so inspiring i m just sharing some thoughts and "knowledge"
Wish you nothing but the best bro

You have a point there, and I thought about it too but my whole strategy is also based on things that I've seen. I've seen a lot of channels with like 60 or 70 shorts with 20K subs or even 100K subs and they have 2 or 3 long-form videos that have been posted only recently with like 10K or 5K views. Even if what you mentioned is true I'm 100% sure that if you do it right and the videos have high quality even the short video audience will watch your videos after all shorts are only 1 or 2 years old and this audience has been watching long-form videos for years. The worst-case scenario is that everything you mentioned will happen to me so none of these subs will watch my videos and even in that case I have something to gain which is social proof for the channel so if I publish a good long-form video and someone likes it there is a higher chance that they will subscribe to a channel with 10K subs than to a channel with 10 subs. But thank you bro for pointing this out!
