Also, got any tips on finding low competition keywords besides the ahrefs forum traffic method? Unfortunately I cannot have access to ahrefs since it's quite expensive

First of all: very interesting and inspirational! I am in a very similar position as you: earning quite a lot online, living in Scandinavia (tjena grabban, jeg er norsk) and consider quitting my real job when the earnings get a bit more consistent.

Read through your whole journey now - and you might find me in Phuket sharing a beer with you in Spring 2020! ;)

In terms of tax, I actually have a solution to that..but I dont want to write about it in public. Let me know by inbox if you need tax advice as a Swede. I have been living in Asia for 5 years and spoken with a lot of people that have done this in various ways.

I target niches for these. Easier to rank if you have a small site.

I put out a lot of content and do not think so much about difficulty. Often you get surprised of how you can rank "Difficult" keywords. Tools are not always accurate.

There are a lot of free tools like neil patels tool or google keyword planner etc.

Sure we can speak in PM :D

    Not anymore, Adthrive now

Also some good news for my Adult website. It´s now ranking top 100 for a 4 million++ keyword and several more huge keywords. I will continue sending links to this one and hope that it won't tank :D

hai mate, we are on the same boat, i want to build new site again, now days seems more confusing, but i am getting more confused rightnow about started with aged or new, my question is : your site no 2, have progress? what about ranking on heavy keyword comp, it's can compete in #1 page ? and if that so, what your foundational link, PRelease + Citation + Social Signal + PBN/GP ? or do you have any ideas about foundational link, when the site are getting out of sandbox and we can do what ever we want after that. it might be help.

and question no.2 is : your site no.1 crushing it, with aged domain, i just afraid that when i am bought an aged / auction domain with good profile/foundational link, what to do next? it just start make a content on it and build a link or something that we should know about before making content and start building link or waiting time or what?

and question no3. is : what do you think about domain that never build a website on it but was register 2 years ago, is that count as aged or new ? do you have any current work on this kinda domain?

    thank you.

Did you see a big improvement in ad revenue when you changed from Mediavine to AdThrive? How much was it in percentage?

Hey I love the journey keep up the greate work!! I got a few questions hope you can answer them
    1) What hosting do you use as you mention you pay 100 plus a month for 4 or 5 sites hosting i believe the speed of the hosting should be very fast as it is able to maintain such a high amount of traffic you receive daily.
    2) What theme did you change to ? I m guessing you replace your old theme x theme to something else ??
    3) Do you write any more articles yourself or are you solely outsourcing all of them ?
    4) What was your daily routine when you just started at the beginning of writing all the posts? (example: research for keywords to rank first before creating articles or research on the topics that would have a high demand?)

You said you use wordpress as cms. Do you have a special wp hoster or a server or simple webspace? And can people comment on the article on the different sites of the blog?

Hello friend, congratulations on your site, it is a success.

I have a question about the content, what do you rely on to write an article better than the competitor?

Im also bad at english, just get some money and get some native english writers or use a plugin on chrome like grammarly and it will atleast be alittle bit better.

Site 2 tanked because of some bad PBN links, but just staying flat now because I havnt made anything with it. Lifted the penalty though.

Links is not my strongest side so cant recommend a good way. Guest posts is the way to go I think. Sandbox is around 6 months from what i have realized

Site 1 was a brand new domain also. If you find a good expired domain just build a lot of content and see where its taking you after a month or so. If its not ranking you should send some links to the articles also.

Like 20-30% higher RPM. My traffic went down, so I dont know for sure, but somewhere around that.

    1. I use siteground cloud hosting for my largest site. You should do well with a shared hosting on like siteground also if the site is getting low traffic.
    2. I changed to generatepress, but the traffic went down so I changed back to X-themes again.
    3. Nowadays Im only outsourcing them, In the beginning I was writing some articles myself.
    4. In the beginning, I had no idea of what i was doing and I was just writing, but after a while I edited the articles and improved them :)

I use siteground cloud hosting. Yes comment should be turned on, just avoid spam. Comments = engagement and free content and you will rank better with comments.

Im always trying to get the most informative and best article. Sometimes its not the best but ranking better than others anyways because of the SEO etc.

    Very Intersting Journey.
Used to have an Amazon Affiliate site...but sold it.

After reading this, I'm definitely going to start another one...but might likely go with the information kind of website.

Quick question: Which keyword tool do you use to find topics to write about?

    Thanks

Your journey is very inspiring congrats for your results in less than one year!
I have a question when you published your first article, how many backlink you bought per articles to rank them?

    October update

The earnings this month is very good regarding the traffic drop the site had within the update. The traffic is soon back to the same as before the update. The sad thing is that I would earn over 10k if the update wasn't there :D But I guess you can't complain when you haven't put any work on the site for some months, sadly

My other websites are moving slowly up. I have a foreign coupon site with great potential. It's ranking good without backlinks now and is over the 6-month sandbox mark, so I will send some links to it and build a PBN network of 10 domains to it and let's see what will happen.

My adult site is slowly climbing also, but still sending links to it slowly so let's see in some months when it's out of sandbox completely.

Also building another site at the moment with the plans of publishing 500-1000x informative articles and let it sit, to see what happens.
