In this journey I'll try BLACK HAT for the first time. I'm running a WH blog which is going well at the moment (see journey here) so now I'm looking for a new challenge and another source of income. This is a side project, so I'll still put most of my efforts in the WH blog.

Autoblogging journeys TOTALLY fascinate me! I've been researching them lately. I've seen the best techniques from BHW members like: jonnyah, randomuser321, brrupsz and a few others. But without advanced coding skills I won't be able to replicate their results. At most I can copy paste some code found online and tweak it a little.

So I decided to use the Lorem Ipsum method that I found in @Holzr's journey. Basically the content is pure trash, random words sprinkled with your keywords. It's the laziest, simplest way of generating content.

So why am I not afraid that Google will detect the trash content and penalize it? I'm sure Google can detect gibberish when it comes to English language but I bet it doesn't detect that stuff in a foreign language, probably it doesn't even care. It's this hypothesis that I want to test in my journey.

The budget is $10 (domain and hosting) because I want to start small and see if it works, so I won't be using any paid tools like Jarvis or Quillbot. Also I won't use free wp content generation plugins because everybody uses them and gibberish will probably rank better on a new blog than aggregators or badly spun duplicate content, plus the gibberish is unique, lighter, more flexible, easier to manage and create.

Tools:

I'll generate content using a combination of these free generators: https://loremipsum.io/ultimate-list-of-lorem-ipsum-generators/ (thanks @RoiBox for the link, really entertaining stuff xD)

Redirect cloaker: The real user never sees the gibberish content and gets redirected to offers. I myself haven't decided on a specific cloaker but I'll pick a free one from this section: https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/cloaking-and-content-generators.2/

Since only crawlers will see the real content, the pages can look ugly, so I don't even need a theme, wordpress, or fancy stuff, just bare naked raw HTML. You can find free html generators in google, they turn your text into html, so you don't even need to know/learn basic html. Or, for the laziest of you, just rename the raw generated text files to html extension and google will be able to read and index it without html tags anyway :D.

For keyword research I'll use semrush (trial), keywordseverywhere (free) and keywordtool.io (free).

The plan:

1. Pick niche with low comp keywords and decent offers.
2. Build list of keywords and filter it (manually at first).
3. Use content generator to create articles for the list of keywords.
4. Get cheap domain and hosting for 1 month and upload the content.
5. Add redirect cloaker that sends visitors to offer.
6. If traffic starts coming and I get conversions, I'll rinse and repeat with another niche/offer.

The idea is to build many small splogs, because I can target offers more accurately with each one and won't have to put all eggs in a single domain. Plus, google will index them fully faster since they're not huge like the usual splogs.

Crawlers and dumb.
So, you'll most likely get results if you post large amounts of gibberish.

PS: what free cloaker are you referring too?

Make sure you use an expired domain

Also, I forgot to add, that you might get traffic with lorep ipsum but that traffic may not be targeted to your niche. Like, it WILL get indexed, but it will not rank in your desired niche or even related keywords to your niche.

I read about cloakers and saw some ppl pasting such codes for free in the cloaker section (linked in op) but haven't wrapped my head around it yet. Will get to it later. I need to do the first steps first and tweak the generator, test some content.

Make sure you use an expired domain
Will try to find one.

UPDATE 1

I just finished writing a high quality article for my White Hat blog and realized I put a lot of time and effort into it. The next moment I felt a shadow slowly creeping up on me. It was the cold touch of the BLACK HAT DEMON gently whispering:

"Why put so much effort into PLEASING the Big G (-spot)? You can join the dark side and write thousands of pages of content effortlessly, cloak em up and redirect visitors to EVIL offers and gain FAT STACKS of CASH!"

shadow.jpg

Got excited to work on this journey today, even if I previously told myself it's just a side-project for the weekends.

I picked the niche/s. It's going to be beauty and/or children toys (so much for the evil offer :D). Haven't decided which one I will start first, but both seem promising right now.

I tested the content generation with a few keywords and it works OK. But content generation is the easy part, so I moved on to the cloaker, which a lot of you guys were interested in.

THE REDIRECT CLOAKER:

@GenesisOne @blackbit78 @dpsmith You guys were curious about the cloaker so here it is:

1. First I checked the cloakers section (linked in OP) but there's too much stuff like reverse DNS, user agents and IP lists to bother with. The php scripts need to be copied and pasted into thousands of pages, geez, that's too much for me.

So I said to myself: THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY!

2. I then found the following free cloaker just by googling, a small code that you copy paste into your htaccess file:
Code:
RewriteEngine On

RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} !^(110\.174\.129\.147|203\.217\.17\.162)
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !(Googlebot|Bingbot|Slurp) [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://YourEvilOfferThatGoogleCantSee.com/$1 [L,R,NE]

Replace the link at the bottom with your offer, affiliate link, your landing page or whatever you want. When users land on your website they will be redirected to that link, while leaving search engine crawlers IN THE DUST.

I edited a little, added bingbot and yahoo bot (slurp) as well aside from Googlebot. You can add more user agents to the list, or more IP filters to make it stronger, but this is more than enough for my journey.

I tested it earlier with a lorem ipsum homepage connected to a domain I wasnt using and when I accessed it I got redirected to the link, flawlessly.

Next I'm going to build the full list of keywords and start generating the content.

I always suspect that google is using other bots to fight clockers

So all i have to do is add that code to my htaccess file? Never knew cloaking is this easy
