The lack of journey and guidance for native ads is the EXACT reason why I post this journey. It is for beginners to follow along and learn form another beginner like me. Hopefully more are reading this and learning along the way.

Keep following me and hopefully we can both get our campaign profitable. Also, my budget at the start was $50 a day spent, now it is up to $100 a day. But that is because I already see some green days now and want to get more data. I believe my campaign will be fully green in a week.

    Hope you enjoy the read!

Keep your eyes locked for this huge update. ;)

I use mostly images as my ads through a traffic network.

    Update #7

Because of the conversions on hold and confirming or rejecting several days after I have decided to use the "last 7 day" metric to post updates instead of the daily metric (or else you will only see red and on holds).

    Last 7 day stats:
    Visits: 5966
    Clicks: 1582
    Conversions: 13 (11 on hold, 12 declined)
    Revenue: $331.50
    Cost: $517.43
    Profit -35.93%

As you can see the campaign is improving at a pretty good rate. This time I have decided to share some other stats as well.

    Ads:

    Ad1: 13.19% roi
    Ad2: -38.51% roi
    Ad3: -7.71% roi
    Ad4: -34.50% roi
    Ad5: 12.30% roi
    Ad6: -100% roi
    Ad7: -100% roi
    Ad8: -100% roi

These are my current ads that I am using(with many that had 1 x product payout in spent removed), ad 6 still has 2 on hold conversions so that one could turn out to be a winner. Ad7 and 8 might be cut soon if they don't start performing.

Glad to see some ads performing rather well.

    Landers:

    Land1: -25.16% roi
    Land2: -37.54% roi

These stats are OK, but I am currently testing 2 more landers based on 1 and 2 but improved with hot jar heat maps to see where clicks are. Then I start to hyperlink images and much clicked words.

    Offers:

    Offer 1: -65% roi
    Offer 2: -65.36 roi
    Offer 3: -43.86% roi
    Offer 4: -6.14% roi

Seems like we have a winner with offer 4. Offer 3 will be tested still while 1 and 2 will be removed.

Question: Do you guys know how long cod offers generally run? I'm hoping to be able to break into green and profit for a while before it gets taken down.. wouldn't want to waste all this effort for nothing.

Let me know your thoughts and what else you would like to see. Is it useful to update this way or would you rather have it more simple?

ppc is like gambling looking to hit the jackpot, but if you can stand the bets
and know how to look at your stats, your odds of hitting it increase.

Good luck on your journey op!

I have been out of the PPC game for a while, but the core is to have an good pre-lander which convinces the visitor this will solve a problem for him and fast. Traffic quality is a whole other story ofc. :) Goodluck op i will follow

I have heard about push traffic, why would you opt for push traffic instead of native ads?

At start it might be yes, statistics make all the difference.

    Thanks I will!

Push has been converting well for most people and has really been good for beginners, as far as native ads go i have heard it requires lots of testing. But i don't know on what basis you are conducting these tests so its upto you to use whatever you want.

All manual, I review the data myself and adjust the campaign where needed.

Thank you, I will do some research on this. First I will get this profitable first then perhaps I will test some push as well.

What do you think is an appropriate budget to do what you are doing as a beginner?

Personally I started with $1500. If you want to be safe $2000 would be better. Make sure you have someone or a group to spar your ideas with. Helps immensely to learn from their mistakes to save on your own costs.

I love seeing journey like this and it seems that you're serious about it.

Really important factors in Native Ads are text & image as probably everyone knows.

But, the mistake people are doing is that they focus way too much on Ads and they forget about Pre-lander.

Writing copy for few fellas that are running Native Ads, I learned that text on your pre-lander is way more important than you think.

Changing just a headline could improve your results, so be prepared to test that as well.

Stay persistent and through your journey don't stop learning more about Native ads, because everyday there's something new to learn.

If you need help with the prelander copy or text on your ads, don't be afraid to send me message. And... don't worry, it's free :)

Thanks! That is what I have heard as well, I have been optimizing my prelanders as well and split testing them to see which one is more effective. My pages are not English, so not sure how much you can help me with it. I appreciate the offer though!

Do you work with native ads as well?

    Update #8

    Last 7 day stats:
    Visits: 6834
    Clicks: 2107
    Conversions: 16 (9 on hold, 10 declined)
    Revenue: $408
    Cost: $600.74
    Profit -32.08%

These are my current statistics which shows a small improvement yet again. I have discovered drill down reports thanks to someone who is more knowledgeable than me and used yesterday to discover a winning combination.

The combination goes with an ad that has 50% roi with a prelander that has 180% roi and an offer with 95% roi. Currently putting it to the test to see how that goes.

This caused my traffic to slowdown yesterday and no conversions at all, while today it has broke even till now. Curious to see how it will go on.

I like that you take risks as most people can't stomach the losses...
Just a few things to think about though: all that traffic you're pushing at the offer is building that company's brand while you barely make a profit if any. They probably are collecting emails to market on the back-end + collecting facebook pixel data for re-targeting.
A solution would be to somehow collect emails on that presell page and / or retargeting data (some type of way you can re-enegage these people)
Think about it, the profit is made not on the upfront sales, but from them buying more in the future. If they're buying one weight loss product, they'll buy another and that's where the profit is
Just a idea, I hate to see affiliates throw money to build someone else's shit you know

    Following this.

OP, I really think you should use some tracking platform, much more data available and easier to track.
