    Hey guys,

I've been learning about IM since my join date here, but I took a long break away from it after some failure and not having much money to start things. I have a blog but I'm pretty sure I can't post it here. I've had a few sites now in the past year and have learned a lot of things from each one. My first set of sites I learned that I did bad keyword research, then my next site I learned that I picked a seasonal keyword so by the time I would start ranking, nobody would be searching for it. I learned the most though from Black Hat World and good blogs like NichePursuits.

I think my goal for my first few sites is to sell them. I'd like to pay off my credit card finally, and I also want to make a decent amount to reinvest into IM. I feel like my next few sites are guaranteed to be great, according to my research, especially the one I'm building right now, my other one i built but I need to order content.

My linkbuilding plan will be Tiered Linkbuilding. I'll be using good quality contextual links for Tier 1 such as Web 2.0, Articles, and Wiki's, with 100% original content unless people convince me otherwise.

I plan to buy GSA SER in a few days along with all the other stuff needed such as Captcha Breaker, Scrapebox, Proxies, and so on.I have bought a package here on the BHW Marketplace though, and it looks like a good package but I would rather do it all myself I just know it'll be a while before I learn everything and am able to set up my own good quality campaigns. I wanted to get a little juice flowing while I learn everything, maybe get ranking for some longtails and make a few bucks.

A little more info about my keywords.. I am targeting about 25 keywords, and when added up, according to Google they get about 15,000 exact match searches per month. So I'll target those, try my best to rank for them and also rank for other long tails.

17 days after getting indexed, with only 48 organic visitors, no backlinks or main/targeted keyword rankings I sold a ~$1,500 product earning $58, I can't wait to have 1000's of visitors per month :)

I think for Amazon Affiliates you only earn 4% commission at the beginning until you make more sales.

I think it's a great commission. Imagine you could work at Best Buy and earn 4%-8% commission? They would actually have good customer service if that was the case.

Hey, I tried to give an overview and wasn't sure exactly what to put there. I'm at work so couldn't into every little detail but I'd be happy to answer any questions if you some.

It's 4%, when I sell 6 more items it'll go to 6% and then when you sell so many more it'll go to like 8% or something like that. It is a small commission, but Amazon is a trusted brand and carry almost every product so you get a large volume of sells and you also get commission if they buy any other product from Amazon that is not in your niche.

I do plan to experiment with Clickbank and Commission Junction stuff later though.

congratulations, It's 4% for beginners or even lower, I tried Amazon before Christmas last year, I had traffic but got nothing from big A, it's just not my cup of tea, i guess

Wow impressive sale! I've just recently dived into my first amazon niche site, but i'm targetting much lower priced items (around the $60-$150 range) but you are making me regret not picking higher priced items as I have 70 sales in the last 3 weeks and have only made a little over $100 from the site lol.

What do you think was the problem? How much traffic were you getting? Were your keywords the type that someone would type in Google when they were ready to buy? Was your site designed well?

How much traffic and clicks for those sales? I don't think you made much of a mistake if at all? While I may make some higher commisions, you may sell a TON more items than me per month. It just happened that my product had many price ranges. On my site I have products from 50-$1000+

    Good Luck with your journey.

Congrats on the sale as well, you must have a pretty good niche if you sold a product that expensive without ranking your site.
