Journey to Learn Python and do something constructive with my boring Life .

Good luck my brother.
Thanks !!
So i haven't had any sugar since i started this journey .
I must agree that i have not been upto mark when it comes to walking .
Update 4 :: Practiced some more programs and tested new things . Still @ File I/O

You seem dedicated and have a good plan. Python is a great programming language (although a bit saturated, but hey the AI wave is increasing it's demand).

Try to go with udemy though and not those YouTube videos because the courses on udemy are structured really good and provide a clear direction.

Also, go with courses that have been updated recently (updated in 2024). And always practice what you learn. Don't get tangled in learning too much either. Once you complete a few hours of coding, jump on the desk and start building a project. That's how you really learn in programming.

Lastly, good luck on your journey OP. I am rooting for you :)

Make real projects and then learn Python by doing it.
That's the real way of learning programming. Decades ago, a client asked me to code in VBA (Excel). I saw what data they had, what output was expected and within a month the program was delivered, with live testing.
Simply learning constructs never helps.

Did some more programming and i am still at file I/O . trying to do different programs on it
have divided learning into 4 parts
1) Python Basic
2)Python intermediate
3) oops
4) Web scrapping
5) database, guis
6) packages

My idea is to build a remote keylogger and also a crypter [ I knew a friend 7 years back who made crypters and his crypted files were undetectable with all the Antiviruses( i KNOW python is not the best language to build these tools but its the easiest programming language to learn and imma tryna build something , I will learn other things with time)
I also want to build a spammer bot .

For now i am just giving time to basics as i don't want to Fk things up ..I am not looking to secure any job ..i just want to build programs which i can use on my own .[I know how to make money out of those and where to sell them]

F*** yes! I love this post!

I love seeing posts where someone gets motivated; posts what they are going to do to stay accountable; and take back their life.

Many thanks and best of luck.

Love this love this love this.

Whenever I decide to try and learn something new I always run into "what to build." Keep up the great work, keep posting, and continue moving forward!

Update : I have taken off from my work today feeling a bit under the weather .
Will use this as opportunity to learn some programming.

Update 7 ::: Jumped into Turtle Module and now i am learning oops(classes/objects) by trying to draw .
i had fever/cold/cough for last 1 week so the pace was little slow but i picked it yesterday and hopefully it stays that way.

watching youtube videos on how to lose weight and after finishing watching the video ordering pizza .
Dude. You almost put me off my pizza.....

Anyway. 100 days of code was a good course, but I honestly like codecademy better (as you actually have to apply the little lessons). That's how I started with python.

100 days of code is great because you get instructions, explanations and little homework. You learn how to set up IDEs and get the basics of python and you explore a few different fields and types of tasks that python can help with. It's not the most up to date course or the most extensive, but it's a fun course to go along with and get the basics into you. I like her style of teaching.

Codecademy on the other hand is more reading but you have the IDE on the website integrated and you get little explanations and tasks to fulfill, which are also a great way to learn.
Anything but tutorial hell. Interactive courses like those two are what will teach you the best.

Seeing you commit to improving your life and learning Python is inspiring! Take it one step at a time, stay consistent, and keep reaching out for support. You're on the right track, and the community is here to cheer you on!

Update 8 ::: Learned how to draw circle square triangle etc etc played a little with code
went back to for loop to clear some doubts .. will be going back to functions and for loop and practice some more as i want to attain some confidence in it. I am happy with my progress

try scrimba to learn python
Thanks i am currently using various sources .
Update 9 :: I have moved onto oops and i am planning to spend more time on this as its a very important concept .
Learned about objects classes inheritance self super etc ..

May your Python skills rise faster than your pizza delivery orders! Wishing you a journey of learning, growth, and triumph over sugar cravings
Remember, 'Fall seven times, stand up eight.' - Japanese proverb. You got this!"
good luck ;)
