I'm creating this thread to document my progress, make myself accountable and execute-execute-execute.
I run a small 250 square feet men's clothing store in Bangalore (India). My business is 2 years old. I haven't made millions but it gives me roof on my head and food on my plate, and has served as a better alternative to a boring 9-5 job.
6 months ago, I invested almost all of my savings along with a small loan to open a second branch in a proper commercial location which houses all the big clothing brands. This was a bad idea. I lost all the money on the posh interiors, excessive overheads, rent etc, and while I was blinded by the bling bling of the second store, I completely ignored the first one. After months of gambling in this new venture, I didn't have enough cash to sustain further, so decided to close the second shop.
I was depressed for a couple of weeks, but somehow got myself back up and made up my mind that I'll make my first million from my small initial 250 square feet shop. I calculated the numbers and it doesn't look impossible.
A good thing about my business is that people love what I sell, because unlike other retailers in my city who are selling mass produced stuff, I sell high quality exclusive apparel made in small batches. 90% of my business runs on repeat customers, and I've had a decent retention rate so far.
I'm going to try some internet marketing techniques to increase foot traffic into my store. I learned these from the new friends I've made in the Blackhat community in Bangalore.
To start with, I've made fake profiles on facebook, joined all the local groups, and grew 5 profiles so far to 5000 friends each. All these friends are good quality targeted leads. I've used Social Toolkit (Free) to grow these accounts, but I'm going to buy Facedominator software very soon, as I plan to send individual messages to each of these friends. My goal is to have 40 profiles X 5000 friends by September this year.
I'm also using Gramboard Pro to target people based on location and hashtags.
I have a list of 1500+ whatsapp numbers of my existing customers that I have developed in the last two years. I'm working on a way to increase word of mouth marketing through my existing customers (any ideas?). Planning to buy a bulk whatsapp sender, to send new arrival updates to these customers + new prospects.
I resumed sales in my store on 25th June 2018. My goal is to have INR 1,00,00,000 in revenue by 25th June 2019. Wish me luck brothers and sisters
So far I've made INR 94,750 till date. Just another INR 9,905,250 to go. Doesn't sound difficult at all now
