    Today was a rough day.

A big agency I was working for is stopping working with me. They outsourced a bunch of work to me. And today let me know that they're going to be handling new clients. The current clients I'm working on for them I will continue handling though.

It's a large portion of my income. While it's not gone, it will slowly dwindle down when these clients eventually cancel.

Unfortunately the urgency for this journey has increased. Which is good because I will be motivated, but bad because I will have a bit of stress to get a client. And when talking with clients it may show.

I'm still warming up the new email slowly. And also finishing up on site. It's about 70% done. Just need to add case studies and services page.

I got 3 leads from Reddit today for SEO. Responded and hopefully can set something up. One is an agency looking to outsource and wants to start in January. Will be sure to follow up with them.

I actually also remember I'm ranking for a search term to earn more Instagram followers. I wasn't doing anything with it, but will start replying to them and outsource the work.

I'm happy because now I have a website, reviews, and case studies up. Once I finally get a client, I can aim for referrals.

Question: I have a few older friends that own businesses. Also my MMA coach, his online presence is bad. This would probably be a good way to get a client, but I'm nervous about working with friends. Or having them acquainted with my business side. Any advice?

I feel like you don't like to talk with clients about actual biz, and you don't like to do calls with potential clients?

Just get someone to do that for you - that way you can do more of other works that need to be done - and potentially get more interested clients.

For question about working for friends - no, I had 2 bad experiences, never again.

Do you use same domain for sending cold mail on which you have set up website or you use different domains everytime?

Having someone handle sales? It’s hard to find someone that’s good and would work on only commission based. I just need to get used to it. That’s the goal. Getting uncomfortable. Seek discomfort. The comfort zone is a bad spot to be and the only way to grow is outside of it. It’s good to have knowledge in sales too.

No, they’re separate. Make sure you use different domains if you’re doing cold email. You don’t want your business email to go into spam if your cold email domain gets flagged.

Stop watching youtube guys. Reality is that not everyone is comfortable with talking with others and making deals.
    Do what you're good at.

Don't you think if we keep different email for mailing and for our real business, it will look fishy to client? Will they trust us ?

You can just subtly change the domain. So if your domain is bhwagency.com, it could be bhwagency.co or bhwagencyk.com.

I can’t sell. Fuck man. I don’t know what I can do. I hate bringing this to BHW. I don’t know if it’s just a bad day. I feel hopeless. Depressed. Like it’s not even worth picking up the phone again.

I can read sales techniques, guides all day. Nothing is helping. I’m not even cold calling, but going from a warmish email.

I have no doubt I can rank for these clients. I can help them. I don’t know what to do anymore. I really hate that negativity and never really bring it here.

I helped my MMA coach change his phone number for the listing. I haven’t talked to him again. I reached out without the intention of selling him anything and just helping because he’s my coach.

I also have a friend who’s assistant manager at a law firm. She told me the guy wants to appear on top of Google. I told her what I recommend for him and what it all costs.

Honestly it was a bad call. But she talked to the owner and she said he’s cheap and thought $600/month was too cheap. I offered it that low because there’s not much competition and apparently he knows a lot of businesses.

For Christ sake, he’s a lawyer. $600 is nothing. With a money back guarantee.

I don’t know where the journey is going. I will continue trying, but I’m struggling right now.

Hey guys, a lot has happened and I am excited for the next few weeks.

I've managed to hire a good commission-based salesperson. He's very committed. The commission is high, but we were able to work out a good rate. We've set a few things up. Our terms of service, refund policy, onboarding forms, and setting up all our packages.

I've also talked with a big agency owner. He has 5 commission only sales and started similar to me. Though he had some sales experience prior. He hired a salesperson anyways and just scaled from there. Also did cold email outreach. So he gave me some advice and we connected more.

We're going to be scaling up the emails slowly and having the salesperson start making calls soon. The holidays are against us, but we'll still be working.

This journey is going to turn into more of a just growing the agency. Will update you guys in the next few days :)
