I don't know what a good opener for this thread would be. So, let me give you a little bit of background about myself.

Background
I've been a lurker of the BHW community for about three years now, and I've yet to make a dollar over the internet. I am a programmer and a music enthusiast who mostly worked in a 9-5 environment.
About a year ago, I decided to start a company with a friend of mine (who I used to work with on several different occasions before actually planning to start the company). Unfortunately, he scammed me for a total sum of $5k (which has quite a lot of value in our country). But he also taught me a great lesson about my interactions with others (which I might open up about it in a separate thread, as it's not related to this topic).
Long story short, after a couple of years of lurking the community and two or three failed joint ventures, I'm here trying my luck again in Reddit marketing.

Objective and Milestones
The goal of this journey is to create a network of adult subreddits in different niches and monetize them using direct advertisements on a middle-man tube website.
The milestones are not clear, as I am not quite sure about the right time to monetize the network. Generally speaking, the number that I am looking for is about $2k on a monthly basis from ten subreddits.

What I've done already?
In the past couple of months, I've developed a quite complex software to automate/semi-automate most of the tasks that I was doing on Reddit at that time. The software includes a bunch of features fine-tuned for connecting the adult-industry to the platform. Some of the features are as follows:
  1. Integration with multiple websites, including PH.
  2. Integration with several upload centers, including RedGIFs.
  3. Built-in video editor for quickly creating short previews and watermarking.
  4. Built-in reverse image search (using Google).
  5. Automatic cross-posting from one community to another.
  6. Image/video scheduling.
  7. Ability to manage multiple accounts.
And maybe lots of different features that I probably don't remember developing as they're not important enough, but help with efficiency.

Note: to be honest, at first, I was thinking about creating a SaaS from the software, and after seeing its capabilities, I've decided not to do so.

Apart from the software, in the past two weeks, I've started a subreddit and grown it to about 20k members (the niche I shall not reveal, but It's not general porn). Although the subreddit is quite active in terms of upvote and interaction, there aren't that many posts to leave it to grow naturally.

In recent days, I've also recovered a piece of software that automated account creation, which I wrote almost a year ago. The software helps me to create about 25 accounts every day (over a period of 40 minutes), but I am not willing to push the software extremely hard, as it might be detected by the Reddit.

There are also a total number of 20 left-over aged accounts (from the previous testings), which are not warmed-up yet. I'm planning to use them for vote manipulation (I know it's against the TOS, but I'm curious about learning more about Reddit's algorithms).

Note: Yesterday, I tried vote manipulation, and It worked, but today after trying the same interactions, the post disappeared from the subreddit. However, It was still available using a direct link, and I verified that my account wasn't suspended nor shadowbanned.
Question: Does anyone have any ideas on the preceding matter?

The to-do list
  • Improving the software and improving the UI's efficiency.
  • Improving the FFMPEG render time. [I still don't know how]
  • Researching other sub-niches to get the other nine subreddits going.
  • Adding a way to track my progress (maybe by using this thread?)
  • Try finding a way to improve my video editing efficiency. (that one subreddit alone takes about two hours a day to maintain)
  • Continue creating/warming-up accounts for later / or scratch the vote manipulation entirely (I cannot decide yet, and any suggestions are welcomed, especially about warming-up)
  • Automating/semi-automating the website

Conclusion
Hopefully, I stick to the end of this project and start making some dollars. One shall become blue as soon as it's possible.

I look forward to seeing you grow :)
Did the account you made the post from happen to share an IP with any of the accounts you used for upvote manipulation?

I’d love you help you test upvote manipulation (free of charge) if it might help us gain some insight into what’s going on with the account.

Goodluck with your journey I am doing something similar :)
Thanks, hope that you also find success. If you'd be interested, we can share information to boost our growth.
Nice and detailed plan of action mate. I wish you all the best. Following :)
Thank you, wish you the bests also.

The post was made from a high-quality account (with about 40k link karma, 1-month-old) using a private datacenter VPN, which I only use for posting on Reddit. The upvotes are from the accounts that are taking advantage of the fact that ISPs don't provide static IP addresses in our country, thus all of them are residential (WIFI) IP addresses, and I mostly restore cookies (to prevent re-logging and the user-agents are predefined for each account).
I'm thinking about the fact that due to directly landing on the post-page and upvoting from there, Reddit had some suspicious about the interactions. (This has been fixed now, but I haven't tried it again).
Anyhow, we can talk about it in detail. I'll drop you a PM.
good luck with your journey mate, also following this
Thanks mate!

I was in the process of doing the same thing with adult gifs... my account was banned and then unbanned which was the only mod on my subreddit. This caused my subreddit to be banned for being "unmoderated". Been waiting for almost 3 weeks to get my subreddit back.

Always make sure you have multiple moderators on your subreddits!

So let me give out a quick update about today's progress (I might update this message later if anything else happens):
  • Today I created 25 more accounts.
  • I also requested a niche related subreddit, which could be easily branded due to its unique name.
  • Six videos were edited and mass-published on related subreddits.
  • I've also integrated my website into my application to quickly publishing content without leaving the web app.
(I'd like to thank the team behind node-wpapi without their fabulous library, I couldn't prototype such a feature in one day.)
Notes:
  1. As the subreddit's growth usually happens when I'm sleeping, I don't have any statistics for today.
  2. I am still looking for a way to prevent my posts from disappearing from the feed. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. I can see it!
I'll continue keeping this thread updated daily, and I'm looking forward to hearing any related feedbacks/suggestions.

Quick Update #2:
So another quick update time (I'm very ill and writing this message hurts my eyes LOL):
  • I've created 50 accounts.
  • I've posted 6 videos and mass-published them to 30 related communities.
  • I've also posted a couple of videos on the website.
The rest of the day, I was sleeping to get myself together. Hopefully, I'll be able to get on my feet tomorrow.

Statistics:
  • Number of subreddits: 1
  • Yesterday's total growth: ~600 members
  • Total members: ~22k
  • Earnings: $0
  • Average CPM: $0.00
  • Yesterday's total visitors: 4 (Still not heavily advertising on Reddit)

I am still looking for a way to prevent my posts from disappearing from the feed.
Those posts or comments are getting removed by moderators of those community. You can see your own comment or post even after it has been removed by mods but no other users will be able to see them.

Good luck Op. You are taking action I'm sure you will see results as well..

Interesting, your method can be applied to other niches too.
I will follow your progress, good luck.

Thanks! Fingers crossed we shall see the results in a couple of months.
How are you planning to grow your subreddit
The method is quite simple, you create good to great content, then you'll publish them to related subreddits using the crosspost functionality of Reddit.

Thanks! Yes, but I believe that NSFW communities are easier to grow.

Im doing the same and its pretty effective. Are you linking your tube site in the post?

I've started linking today. Although the website seems quite ugly, I'm working towards improving it.

Quick Update #3:
My health status got improved quite a lot, but I'm still having some problems with my digestive system, so I can say that I wasted today.
  • I've created 10 accounts
  • I've published 2 videos and manipulated their upvotes.
Finally, I've realized that my accounts were shadowbanned on that certain community, and it seems that Reddit doesn't actually care about the spammers that much. (Back in the day, I messed around with Instagram a lot, and I was something similar on Reddit, which up until this point, I'm quite disappointed.)

Statistics:
  • Number of subreddits: 2
  • Yesterday's total growth: ~900 members
  • Total members: ~23k
  • Earnings: $0.04
  • Average CPM: $0.089
  • Yesterday's total visitors: 7

Is this all automated?

Is this all automated?
Not all of it, but a good portion of it is automated. As an example, downloading, editing, rendering, and reuploading for every video would be a tedious task, but all of it happens from a simple user interface that lets the user select video from PornHub/Sex.com and create video segments, watermark it and upload it to RedGIFs.
I'm looking forward to creating an automatic crosspost functionality to prevent leaving the webapp and do all the publishing on the platform.
The upvote manipulation is also automated using a simple python script which logs into Reddit, upvotes, and restarts the modem for getting a new IP address.
