Nice to see that you took big project under a hand
Man I just turned 18 and I am forcing myself to take actions and make a big project but I'm beeing lazy... hopefully I will soon
I know Ibi And he is very clear with his goals! Wish you all the best in your journey.
Keep us updated mate!
Good luck. Most of the journeys failed after few weeks. Work hard and have patience.
Good luck with your journey.
One thing though. Be careful what you do with those PLR articles. Simply copy-pasting them on your site will do you more harm than good. If you plan on building an authority site, think long term and post only high quality content on your site, even though it takes longer to write.
I hope you're using the PLR articles as a source of documentation to write your own articles, otherwise, you'll face some problems with Google's Panda pretty soon.
PS: plan your structure better from the beginning, also the URL permalinks, etc. These you can't change later (you can, but your SEO will suffer).
Good thing Genesis themes are SEO optimized, nice, clean. This will help you a lot getting the on-page SEO right. Even so, you should still use an SEO plugin like Yoast Wordpress SEO, google about it how to use it most effective (there are some key settings you should make). I didn't use it much, I stick with All In One SEO because I'm used to it, but there seems to be a general agreement among most people that Yoast is definitely better.
Yes, I am taking the next step and taking serious action. Dont be lazy and have a set goal so you know what your working at. Thats why I have opened this Journey thread.
Thank you Mahan. I will definitely keep you updated. :yeah:
Thank you, I will sure keep at it.
Thanks for taking your time to write this. As of the PLR articles, I will just use some of them to get started and have something to work on. Once I start getting traffic, I will start writing my own content or get someone to do it for me. I currently also use All in one SEO, I have very basic knowledge in SEO. So I wish to learn as I go along.
Good luck with your journey. Subscribed

Questions to YOU!:
Is there a way I can upload many articles at a time (post posts in wordpress)??
Good luck friend
This motivated me to jump back in the IM game. I need a good niche that's not saturated to shit. Any ideas...?
I am working on my own five Authority sites now. All new domains as well. Just some advice I have learned, as well with past ventures:
- Do not worry about ranking right away.
It will come. New sites often take a bit to rank and stabilize. One of my articles got 200+ Visits from google right away, then settled to nothing. It is indexed, but google tends to value siteswhich are around longer.
Another example is a dating niche site. Plenty of good backlinks, all relavent, forum posting, high authority links, best content in the planet, powerful niche specific web 2.0s which were getting good traffic on its own, and I only got a handful of traffic from google a month, until six months down the line. I had over 150K words on the site. It was a massive authority site. But it took some time for google to start playing with me.
Keeping link building and working at it, this will pay off. You just should not expect to make X,XXX off the gate.
- Caution with PLR
Contrary to popular belief, PLR's can work. I have used them in the past. But under specific conditions:
1. I edit the mess out of them.
I used them for niches I knew nothing about. I would use the base, some LSI and releated long tail key words expand. I would flip and rewrite articles from 500 to 1000 words, for example. It would take me ten to fifteen minutes per article. For good reason, I need it to be unique and be quality to my readers. For me, if I could not write about a niche, I could spend two hours a day throwing 8 - 10 now high quality articles up a day. Best of all, it helped me learn the niche.
2. Filter in some good articles as well. Write them or buy them, and toss a link or two to it. A better quality article will pull the whole site up based on my testing. A good article will rank quicker than PLR and will a recent post feature or interlinking it will work out swimmingly for you. People will stop by for the good linked article, and browse. This helps the entire site.
3. Do not be afraid to combine articles
Quality is better than quantity. Due to content canibalization, if content is alike or hits the same KW twice only one of your articles will rank high. Learn to edit the articles together in a good way, make it flow well, and enjoy something completely new and unique. It also helps rankings.
- Be cautious about PLR
It is the easy way out. Sure, it can work. But this is a long term project. You will not make money fast. But if you build it right it will make long term money. Heaven forbid you get a manual review and some one finds duplicate or poor content. Just be careful.
I listed it twice because not all PLR are created the same. In the same vein, not all PLR are fit to KWs. You still need to put the work in to make them relate and do well on your website.
- Keep up the work.
For Authority sites, the pay out comes a year down the line when you put up an article a week and rake in the money. For now, you may see some good rankings, some KW's on page one, a sprinkle of traffic. Tossing up low quality articles does not help you rank quicker when waiting for the google game. Short cuts only cheat you when it comes to good income years down the line. If you want to use short cuts, still put in the work editing or building high quality links by hand. Make it all count.
Most often you can play with KW density, edit and expand an article, re crawl it in webmaster, and rank far better if the piece is doing poorly. This is superior than tossing up an article and having the same thing happen.
A personal suggestion, keep a day job to support you and the site while it is growing. Even when it hits some money, it may not be stable. You want some way to pump money into content, links, social profiles, etc while the Authority site is gaining authority.
Good luck. What I say may not be fact, but it works for me.
