Thanks a lot coolandclam1980. It's awesome to hear you get a thrill from IM! :)
    Hey guys,

I didn't do much today. Just moved back to campus for school and spent the whole day settling in.

My plan for tomorrow is to create a few more Pinterest accounts (maybe around 4 - 6) for another website, grow the accounts to 1k followers each (it'll take around 2 - 3 weeks), and slowly add content to that website before using it's URL.

Other than, it's good to see that my earnings are slowly getting higher, even if it is a few cents, and good luck to all returning students as well.

Damn, so many pageviews. Are you not be able to monetize it in more ways? :)

Nice journey will be following you and even starting one of my own.

But how does someone that age spends 80$ a day?
Must be quite expensive where you live :p

That is a the TOTAL PAGE VIEW of all of my websites (around 5) put together. :p

I'm slowly trying new things on each website to see what works best with each niche.

Best of luck on your journey when you start!

I pay for everything myself these days (rent, tuition, grocery, etc); more saving than spending.

    hi SilverJanuary

i've been following your journey threads with quite some interest and I sincerely admire your efforts.

I would like to ask you to lay out a rough structure, how do the different blogs and pinterests connected to each other, for example, let's say you have 5 money sites in 5 different niches, then

each money site has 5 tumblr blogs pointed at it, while each of these 5 tumblrs are in the same broad niche-s as their money site, but in different sub-niches? and how is the structure with pinterest?

I read also that you have been experimenting with different type of money sites, some have more pages, some only have one, my question is, so far which type of site proved to be the most successful, and on that site what is your broad site structure (number of articles pillar/supporting article ratio, wordcount, static or blog, is there top10 or comparison page, did you have keyword density considerations?)

Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't remember, do you have product selling sites too, or you only monetize with ads?

When you only do ads, why do you need money site, is it not possible to advertise direcly on your tumblr-s?

Which tutorial did you use to build your Tier system?

Thanks for helping and motivating the beginners and I wish you all the success!

    Hello ricardo78,

I no longer redirect people from my pinterest accounts to my tumblrs; they all go directly to my money sites or their original destination.

Yes, I have been experimenting from micro niche sites, authority, and image based ones. I would have to say it's a split between authority and image base websites. On my authority website I keep it updated with articles on a weekly basis and I keep there word count 500+.

I do sell product on my authority site, but I use a different method to monetize that. I won't be recording my earnings from that method in this thread and I won't disclose how I'm selling.

It is possible to advertise directly on tumblr; I just prefer not to do so. I like to keep everything on a domain that I actually own.

I came up with the tier system in my head when I kept losing accounts and was getting tired of losing the followers on the boards.

    Thanks again ricardo78!

    Sound advice!

Is it possible, you could tell which theme is this, or at least the rough site layout?

I don't want to push it and you already typed in a long answer to my question, but I really am at a loss here, in regards to broad niche-s and sub niche-s allocation in the tier and how deeply they each are actually related to that niche.
For example if I have an ad based photo site in the car niche, then I could have 5 tumblr-s pointing at it, like dodge viper, corvette, mustang etc...? My problem with that if I go for sub-niche tumblr-s like that, then the tumblr people click on the photo, they get to the money site, and what do they find there? Just a mix of all type of cars and not the specific type they liked and they leave. In what ways could I provide additional value that they won't find on the sub-niche tumblr? (videos?) If there are categories on the money site, they might think their sub niche is just a sub category on the photo site (so that site is not an authority in their sub niche) and leave.
If I make the tumblrs broader in terms of niche, then what will make them different from one another, and if I go to completely different sub niches, then they will be pissed off to get directed to a car site...?
Am I over thinking this? I think you can clear this mess up in my head, if you want, that would be helpful.

Hey op, I've got a question, does your pics that u pin from Pinterest points to your authority site have any relevance?
For example u pin a pic of Animal, but the pic leads to a website on how to make money.. Is it like that? Or u keep it relevant?

I use heatmap for majority of my sites, but it doesn't matter what theme you use if you don't design it properly.

I believe you are over thinking this; I still use Tumblr to generate traffic with my websites.

When I send a user to my website (lets say it's the car niche), there are not only images of Vipers, Corvettes, Mustang, etc. There are also articles

EX: how to maintain a corvette for under $xxxxxx / year

I also have links all over the site that send the users to other sites that I own under the same niche.

Also regarding providing additional content; one of the highest reason why people return to a website in the first place is because there is always new content. Constant QUALITY new content is king.

Sorry if this reply feels rushed, I'm typing this right before class. If you still have questions, feel free to ask here.

    Hello salakau,

keep your pins relevant to the niche you're in. Don't post recipe pins and send them to a website about snowboarding.

    Hey guys!

I hope all is well with everyone.

Ran into another little bump, it seems that when PinBlaster was changing my passwords for my account, it didn't update any of the old passwords. I'm trying to get these accounts back but in the mean time I will be creating new accounts. Luckily those accounts are still generating traffic for my sites.

Here are my earnings for the last few days.

P.S: Monday, Sept. 8 isn't done yet, I included it by mistake.

great thread. As a beginner would you recommend tumblr traffic or pinterest traffic?

And do you have any tips on not getting banned from tumblr or pinterest? thanks. and hope your journey will be successful!

I recommend both of them, because the two seems to work very well together. You can send traffic from Pinterest to Tumblr and vice versa without any issues.

I recommend ACTING LIKE A HUMAN / EACH ACCOUNT AS YOUR PERSONAL ACCOUNT.
There have been to many bans that could have been avoided. A regular user wouldn't be repinning 1000 pins / day or would a regular user post 200+ posts on Tumblr in a day.

    Hey guys,

    I hope all is well.

On September 8, I found 300+ new keywords to write articles about, and I had 10 written yesterday. 3 / 10 have been posted yesterday.

I also created 7 new Pinterest accounts and have started to grow them. In two - three weeks time I should have a good amount of followers again for that niche.

Also, I've been working on trying to rank my authority website and I've ranked on keyword a couple of keywords so far. Right now I'm trying to rank my highest keyword to the top 10.

I will be focusing on writing some of these new articles today and I will be getting writers to write a few today as well.
