Hello guys and welcome to my journey thread. The goal?

Make $450 per month creating gaming tutorials and uploading the videos to Youtube.

I know how to create videos, as I have had a Youtube channel before. I have no idea why I quit and deleted the account, but I did, so now a year later I'm starting again from scratch. This time though, I have the advantage of knowing video SEO and how to buy likes and views.

I plan to monetize my videos with Curse network, because as a few of you know, gaming content and normal Adsense partnership does not mix well.

Curse offers a CPM of roughly $3 / 1000 views, and pays via paypal monthly, with no threshold, and no lock in contracts. They do have high requirements though, so really, my first goal is to get accepted into that partnership.

    Immediate Goals
    2 / 1000 Subscribers
    0 / 4000 Monthly Views
    0 / 150 Total Videos

I need 1000 subscribers, and 4000 hits per month on my videos to get accepted by curse, so the above are my short term goals. When I'm "in" I can see my average CPM, and calculate how many views per month I need to make $450 a month from my channel. Once I hit my $450 barriers, I will make a further 20 videos for good measure and then start my next channel.

If you have any questions, please feel free to post in this thread, do not PM me.

    Wish me luck!

The requirements aren't that "high". If you're looking at $450, even though I wasn't partnered with Curse, I used to do gaming channels before people are awesome and vine channels. This was like 2-3 years back, but still, I made in my last months of youtube an average of $600-700 monthly through my main gaming channel. I partnered it with everything. TGN, ZoomInTV, Machinima, and BBTV. I partnered my other channels with random networks too to test CPM. If curse pays $3 now.. then wow. Because that's even better than what the lockin rate of $2.5 was before Google bought YT. I made usually .5 to $1.5cpm. Before I stopped I probably had 21,000 or 22,000 subs. Just keep going at it. The #1 BEST WAY to grow a gaming channel is do this. I used to have a source for CoD every year. I'd pay I think $260 or something like that to get the game early. I'd play it a BUNCH and then post gameplays and commentaries a few hours early. (Not too early, but still a good enough timeframe to get thousands of views per video). Go crazy. I mean it.

You want to make $450 per month? You have your opportunity. GO HARD. Right now. E3 is happening next week. MAKE A BUNCH of "info" videos. Make them short like 1-2 minutes. Go for the most viral stuff. Then after E3, keep track of big games like Call of Duty, Fallout 4, the next battlefield, bla bla, etc. Get some early and I don't mean post 5-10 commentaries early. Post 100 early. You'll make $1000 monthly or more.

My best youtube channel wasn't gaming, but it was Vines. After 4 weeks of creation, it was worth $10,000 to somebody willing to pay that amount. It only had like 30k subscribers at the time, but it was growing insane. WHY? I posted over 200 vines daily. Not only that. But I made a network of vine channels. Probably 10. And posted 100+ daily on them too.

I wish you the best of luck! If you want $450, go quantity over quality first. THEN once you get your 1,000 subs or more... do quality. I made probably $5 per month through my gaming channel from like 2011-2012. I tried way too hard with quality. When I focused on quantity, then I saw major improvements. I will def. follow this journey if I see good results. I love youtube journeys

Hey Avilux thanks for that post it's really informative. I'm not really into the whole 100+ uploads a day thing, but I'm going for at least 2 - 5 vids a day if I can until I reach $450.

I'm not going for community videos, I'm doing guides (Runescape) which will make my channel views rise steadily, a bit like compound interest but hopefully faster. PM me if you have any more tips for me, cheers!

    Immediate Goals
    3 / 1000 Subscribers
    17 / 4000 Monthly Views
    2 / 150 videos

So I have made progress. Created and uploaded 2 tutorial videos, and have seen views coming in on each of these videos, and I'm hoping that they get ranked in Youtube and gather more views daily. I want each video to be getting 100+ views per day as they are sought after tutorials. I may have to do a little bit of SEO wizardry to get things moving faster, but I don't want to spend money until I identify some "winners".

Tomorrow I hope to make 2 more videos, and have them uploaded, and once I hit 10 videos, I'm going to invest in a decent banner for my channel, as well as a decent avatar to get people subscribing more easily.

    Immediate Goals
    3 / 1000 Subscribers
    32 / 4000 Monthly Views
    4 / 150 Videos

Ok so today I made another 2 video guides, which I uploaded with decent thumbnails / descriptions. Two videos in a day is ok, because they are quality, and they should get me around 100 views per day combined when they settle and I may do some SEO on them depending on if I think they need it.

I have a keyword that I'm going to target once I have the 10 guides up and running, and I will definitely do SEO on them or find someone here with GSA to do a campagn for me. That one video alone will get me my 4000 views per month, so I'm hoping that I can get it done soon.
