Journey To $3000/Month - Affiliate Marketing, Social Media, And More!
So here we are on the first day of 2017- January 1st, 2017. I figured if I was going to put together a journey, now would be a great time to do it.

My goal is going to be to earn $3000/month. If I had a specific time I would want to reach my goal by, it would be by December 31st, 2017 (so basically 1 year from now). I thought about going for a daily goal, but I don't expect to be earning money every single day- especially at the start, so a monthly goal will be the smarter choice to go with.

During the past 4 months (September, October, November, December) I have made around $1200 total from JUST Fiverr. I've gotten to be a level 2 seller from just 1 gig, and I have a 99% positive rating overall. The thing is, eventually I want to move away from Fiverr, because the quality of customers just generally isn't that great. I get 1 amazing customer who owns a legit business looking for work, but then I get 4 people who don't even know what they're ordering. While the amount of money involved for a specific gig might not be a lot, a few negative reviews from a customer who was too lazy to read the gig description to see what they were ordering, and you're screwed. This causes me to get quite annoyed and stressed out, and I'm kinda over it at this point. So like I said, eventually I hope Fiverr is eliminated as a main source of income, and becomes more secondary or gets dropped all together.

I started really researching how to make money online and money making methods back in April of 2016. I can comfortably say that I know a lot about a lot of different methods, so I believe that if I can just stay consistent and be patient (which has been my problem up until now) I will have success and reach my goal (at least I better because I'm currently 20 years old living at home with my parents and while we get along great and they want me to do something I enjoy, college is getting forced upon me more and more, and I REALLY don't want to go to college).

What methods will I be using to make money?
    - Affiliate Marketing (Niche-specific websites with products related to that niche through Amazon and/or Clickbank)
    - Social Media (Brand deals, Affiliate marketing, and something else that I'm keeping secret and on the back-burner for now)
    - Fiverr (Same thing I've been doing, hopefully I start earning more)
    - YouTube (I've been making videos for 8 years, so I know every secret to growing on YouTube in the book. The only reason I haven't been successful on YouTube is my lack of ability to be consistent and patient)

A lot of people say "pick 1 thing and concentrate on it" but the thing is, I spend around 4 hours a day on my computer working and researching. There is no reason why I cannot do all of these things and maybe even more in 4 hours a day, especially since I already know exactly what I'm doing for 3/4 of these methods.

Let me just touch on 1 thing. These are the methods I am going to be using to make money at this current point in time. Things can always change. If I manage to make $1500 per. month from social media, than maybe I would get rid of affiliate marketing on niche-specific websites, or something else. If something really isn't progressing, then why stick with it and waste time that can be allocated to something else?

If you're wondering how often I will be posting updates, I plan on posting an update 1 time per. week- probably every Sunday. I will post the amount of money I made from my income sources, and also some stats from my income sources like follower counts, weekly website views, etc.

If you have any questions about anything to do with my income sources, please feel free to comment them and I'll be happy to answer them!

PS: Sorry if there is too many run-on sentences. I figure that this is just like a journal entry, so proper formatting and structure isn't extremely necessary.

    Thank you!

As far as standing out as a new Fiverr seller, I offered a high-quality, professional service that actually gave people results. I think where a lot of people run into trouble is they don't hold a high standard to what they're selling and offering. If you're offering a logo design service, make sure the logo is actually good and doesn't look like it was made from some random template online.

Journey To $3000/Month - Affiliate Marketing, Social Media, And More! (UPDATE #1)
So here we are on January 8th, 2017, and it's time for an update!

Overall, this week was a weird week. First of all, Monday was a holiday due to New Years being on a weekend, so this made it so my house was more crowded with my parents off work. Also, all the post-secondary students were still home for this past week (I have a sibling in University who was home too), which made my whole town busier, which led me to have to adjust my schedule for the gym. Basically, I just couldn't get into a normal routine. I'm happy that now things will be back to normal with people being at work and students being back in school, because now I'll be able to just do my thing and get into a regular routine, which will help a lot with work.

This week, I earned $88.40 from Fiverr. $100 would have been nice (just 1 more $15 order) but I'm still quite happy with making this much, considering I usually average around $50-$60 per. week from Fiverr. I wish I had more control over getting orders, but with Fiverr you kind of don't considering all your orders come from random people looking for your service at any given time. If I can get $50+ for the upcoming week from Fiverr, I'll be happy. While $50 isn't much, it's the minimum amount I want, not the maximum.

I ended up creating my first website, and put 2 articles up. This is my first website, and the niche is really competitive, so I'm not expecting to be ranking for my main keywords anytime soon (not to mention I'm only just learning about backlinks, PBN, Web 2.0's, etc.). With this said, I did manage to get 80 viewers this week, all from the Twitter account associated with this website, so I'm happy with that. Also, the Twitter account associated with the website was only un-following people all week, so I'm sure once it starts following people again I'll be able to promote the website more and will get more visitors. Overall, pretty happy with this, and I'm sure it will improve over time.

Speaking of social media, let's go over the follower counts for the past week:

    Twitter:
    Account 1 - 3748 → 3741 Followers
    Account 2 - 1331 → 1357 Followers
    Account 3 - 1266 → 1250 Followers
    Account 4 - 889 → 899 Followers

    Instagram:
    Account 1 - 555 → 582 Followers

Now I know what you're thinking- this is horrible growth for a week, and you even lost followers on some accounts. Like I mentioned above, all my social media accounts have been unfollowing people for around 2 weeks now. I hit the follow limits for Twitter and Instagram with all the accounts, so now it's time to un-follow everyone. When the un-following is done and the accounts start following people again, every account will grow each week. Overall, these are the results I expected to get, so all is good.

As far as YouTube goes, I didn't post any videos this past week due to never having any privacy to record at my house. However, I am going to be posting videos this up-coming week, so I'll be able to tell you about them in the next update. What will I be doing with YouTube? I currently will be posting on 2 channels. The 1st channel is a fun, personal channel. The only reason I'm even mentioning it is because I have monetization enabled on it. However, the goal with this channel isn't even to make money- I will just be uploading on it for fun. The 2nd channel is my business type channel, which is actually a channel that matches the website I made. If you haven't been keeping track, I now have a website, Twitter account, and YouTube channel all for the same brand. I won't expand on it for right now, but basically know that these 3 things all work together in directing traffic to my website and getting more visitors to my website.

All-and-all, this week turned out better than I thought it would earnings wise. Hopefully soon I'll get up to $100 per. week- that would be awesome. I'm sure once I get in to a normal routine, this will be possible.

I'll update you all on my progress next week, thanks for taking a look! If you have any questions of suggestions, feel free to comment them in this thread!

    January 1st - January 8th = $88.40

    Good luck on your journey!

I like the amount of detail you are going in with your posts. Considering doing something similar myself.
