Journey to 25 web design clients

Another sell from cold calling today, sending contract and invoice tomorrow.
Still waiting on the others we sent on monday.

Have finished creating the bot for lead generation, which will be used for cold emailing. It's a basic bot that finds issues and slow loading times on a list of predefined URLs which we can then send emails to.

Got 2 more paying clients in the last 2 days. Also we got 4 very hot leads who look promising.

Leads are coming mostly from FB and cold calls.

It's going a bit slower, as we are still working on our offers, packages, website, processes, etc...

Very nice journey will follow. I tried selling web design in the past but hadn't much luck. Most leads were uninterested. I tried cold emailing never tried cold calling anyone.
The bot that checks errors and site speed, did you code it yourself or hired someone? I think I need something like that.

I coded it myself with 0 previous knowledge on bot creation. It took several hours of youtube video tutorials to get the hang of it, but from there it was straight forward. I'm glad I did that, now I can code basic bots myself in 1-2 hours instead of paying the usual $300-500 for simple bot creation. I've created similar bots with the help of freelancers before, so I was kind of prepared of what to expect; this time I wanted to try it myself, as I often need such bots.

End of May update:
Finished the month with just 4 sales, and 1 who promised to buy but then ghosted us. Not the best, not the worst. We're still in preparations - our website, offer and portfolio look amateurish. Hired a graphic designer to help us with all of that, she looks like a pro, but is very busy, and kind of slow.
Sent a few contracts already in june, I hope we close them.
In terms of sales - not doing much besides FB groups + cold calling at the moment. In the talks with a few people who might wanna help us with appointment setting on commission.
 
All the best for your journey. FB groups are one of the best places to get web design leads, but for the past few years, it was occupied by many spammers. I got most of my web design clients from FB groups for almost 8 years. In the past three years, I got some team of people who do marketing close sales, and outsource the work to us. They have their own profit margin, which I don't mind because they handle client pressure, requirements gathering, and everything. They do introduce me to clients as their technical team sometimes.

Yes, it's crazy competitive on FB.
I posted a job offer for a graphic designer and got like 50+ candidates, and tagged recommendations in comments.

+2 sales today guys - 1 on small subscription package, the other is full website and hosting, but we dont have a server yet, using our own lol.... Let's see how June goes. Working hard on our website, hopefully it's ready by this time next week.
Have a few warm leads on the pipeline, mostly from cold calling.

It is not easy to convert clients to buyers, but don't give up. Good luck with your journey.
 
Another sale today. It's still going slowly. All websites are in development (7+ a few more from before the journey thread), moslty because content extraction from clients is a nightmare. Therefore our portfolio is not that big, and our website is still in creation. Haven't been cold calling as much lately, as we need to catch up with other things - a lot of moving parts to take care of.

sounds like a tedious and techie job to me.

Only you energetic guys can pull this job well.

You asking clients to provide you with the content?
If yes, only text or images as well?

Yes, usually they provide the content - both text and choose their images, we just give links to stockphoto websites, or ask them to make their own. We also offer content creation, but they rarely purchase it.
 
Unfortunately this journey comes to an end at this point, but for a good reason!

We made another 2 sales, and one of them was for a large website, much larger and more expensive than the usual we were selling, which puts us at full capacity at this point and we can't continue with sales for now. The source was kind of unexpected - we talked to a guy who often gets requests for websites but can't do them right now as he has a newborn, and he referred us. We also have 2 very hot and promising leads who promised they are working with us, but no contracts yet.
