Let me start this journal off by saying that I'm an 18 year old student, that has been dreaming for quite a while. I started looking into Internet marketing when I was 16 years old. Now I've learned quite a bit from internet marketing and it's time to get to work. I've been working for the past 2 years, so I've saved up some money to get me started, but I know that I will invest it wisely, and reinvest as I go on. I will update this journal daily, showing what I have done. I always have new ideas popping out. Hopefully it will keep us all motivated (Including myself) My goal is really to create a network of websites. Selling the ones that are too hard to maintain, and work harder on the ones that are worth increasing. I want to get into e-commerce websites, but not too focused on that right now. Right now I have classes everyday from 8AM to 12PM, the rest of the day I have to myself to work on my websites. Authority Sites I have two websites that I would like to turn into authority websites as soon as possible. Both are in the music industry. One is pretty simple, and I'm using youtube to bring in some traffic. The other website, I think, will go viral very quickly. I will be buying facebook likes, youtube views, twitter followers, just to start up the website a little. I have a budget of 300$ for this. For the first website: I have invested 77$. For the second website: I have invested 580$. (Design, Hosting) I have a list of long tail keywords (About 50) ranging from 1000 to 80,000 keyword searches a month. This might look like a lot, but I'm planning on reinvesting 30% of my revenue in SEO. It will obviously take quite a long time to rank for all these keywords, but I will make sure to do my best investing into SEO. The good part is that all the content is coming from myself. I will be writing 5-10 articles a day for both websites. Monetizing using: Adsense Micro Niche Websites As of now, I have 3 micro niche sites. I tend to like making authority sites and getting a good design done, but I do understand that micro niche websites can be up in a matter of minutes with a free premium wordpress theme and still look amazing. I plan on making more as I get more time for keyword research. Niches: Xbox, Fitness, Hot women. Monetizing using: Adsense Additionial Method A couple of my friends have had some success with this method. It's very old, but people are still banking with it, and you can easily outsource it. Basically, you pick a free trial offer from one of your CPA networks. Make a landing page, and a print out fliers and hand them out around your city. If you have money to outsource it, you can pay someone 8-10$/hour to hand them out in front of a subway station. I will definitely be testing this method very soon. Either with an e-mail submit or a free trial offer. SEO Places/Rep Management A member on this forum inspired me to start testing this. I've always been a good salesman but don't know if this would be the good direction for me to go. I've also read 7878's threads, and I have to say, he's given a lot to the community, that is basically spoon-fed. I will definitely try to read more on it and test it out if I can. I have a binder full of information ready to be read on how to start an offline business concerning online marketing. I would definitely outsource the SEO work. I can't wait to start this journey. I'm not rushing into anything, but I'll make sure I'm working hard because that's what it takes to be successful. You can be fortunate, a spoiled-brat, daddy's girl/boy, but to me you're not successful if you're not working hard. I did this to keep me motivated, and hopefully it will help others as well. Question: Do you guys outsource most of your SEO or do it yourself? Do you guys know any tool that informs you on your keyword competition, serp position, etc besides Market Samurai or is MS really the best one?
