Surprisingly I never surpassed 1 million downloads and not even 200k downloads! Why? Simply because of retention and people genuinely enjoyed the game. It was during this time I learned the power of retention and the strong 300 versus the weak and unloyal 10,000.(Just an analogy). But with games you really want to aim for retention. A game with 50,000 downloads can make more money than a trash game with 1 million downloads.
