Gentlemen, I'm writing this "journey" in order to motivate myself and keep from procrastinating. I'll also be glad to read your ideas along the way and, maybe, somebody will read a tip that helps him. Why only $15 per day? My rent is $450 per month. I feel that this is a very realistic amount and it is what I need to live. The truth is that one year ago, I was living in a homeless shelter. I started working then lost my job, so I'm desperate to earn some money to avoid returning to the shelter. In addition to this journey, I also hope to find a normal job. My budget is $40. I already have around 5 domain names which I can use. I have PayPal, eBay, Amazon, YouTube etc. Here is my progress: Yesterday I bought a new domain and parked it with Bodis. I wanted Pimproll but Bodis was automatic approval. I think it is a good domain for dating or adult (maybe). I need ideas for this domain. Cost $22 (it is not .com) YouTube: Artwork is ready. The channel is ready except it needs a description and I must finish the graphics for my videos (lower thirds, title, etc). My microphone is broken, so I will fix it or use computer voice for the first video. I bought two aged accounts on this forum which I will use for different niches later. I go to Like4like.org to build a few credits for future use. Amazon FBA: I previously bought one item, quantity 10, which I must upload. I need to put labels on them and prepare the box. I bought these one month ago when a forum user paid me $50. I don't know if I need money to ship or if Amazon deducts the fee from my profit later. My item costs $5 each but they sell on Amazon for around $20 each. I also found another item which I can buy for $43. That item sells on Amazon for $89.95, sometimes 129.95! I will buy that item next time. Merch domination: I applied for an account 5 months ago. Tried .edu email, website URLs, webinar code, but no joy. Amazon Merch is good because there is zero cost to start. For now, I will test a low-cost alternative to the merch domination method. I will not use Shopify. I will not sell shirts. Why? Those are two reasons that the fee is $40 per month. I will sell mugs, flags, pillows, stickers, etc. I will manually enter and fulfill orders at Teelaunch. If the designs sell, I will start shirts when I have more money. Friends, I can only sell one mug or three stickers. Do not laugh! That is all my money. I considered a joint venture one month ago; however, my relatives did not see the possibilities. At this time, I am already starting and there is no reason to give away 50% of profits. I expect a small tax refund soon and I will reinvest Amazon profits. I bought UPCs from legalbarcodes.com (buy 1 at $7.50, get 2 free) so I can upload my design while I wait for Amazon brand registry. Normal price for 1 UPC is $5. I do not want to risk eBay barcodes because this is my personal, legitimate account which I hope to keep for a long time. Since yesterday, $40 - 22 (domain) - 7.50 (barcodes) = $10.50 Need to do: 1.) Send Amazon FBA box, if payment is not required. 2.) Use mockups and old domain for brand registry application. 3.) Finish graphics for videos. 4.) Edit and upload one mug design to Teelaunch and add item manually to Amazon. Bonus: If you are a newbie with one item ready, Amazon seller account, and a Teelaunch (or other), you can have a free UPC. Just leave a reply. I only have 2 available.
