I've been doing IM since 2010. Right now I'm on a steady monthly income of 25-30k USD mostly from AdSense (using social media traffic). One can say I'm fairly successful at this business. But success made me lose my focus and become unreasonably lazy. Right now I'm only working 6 hours a week, and all my other IM projects are not moving. I'm doing this journey to motivate myself.

Here are my projects this year (according to priorities).

    1. An online T-shirt store.
    - The business was already running and earning decently but I stopped it because I'm too lazy to solve the supply-chain problem.
-I now have new partners on this business and that's an additional motivation.

    2. An online store selling health products
-I joined a multi-level-marketing about a year ago. I have no plans on inviting people to join the network. I just want to sell their products because I think they are really effective. I'm using them myself.
-The website is easy to set up. I'll use shopify. I just need to move my lazy ass and actually start building and promoting this project. I have no problem with supplies but delivering items to customers efficiently and cost-effectively is a bit complicated.
    - I also need to find people who would take orders by phone or email.

    3. A health blog/website
    - The website is already running and earning. But I need to find someone who could create content on a regular basis.
    - I also need to tweak the website a bit to get better CTR and RPM.
    - I need to find a way to get steady traffic (probably through FB ads).

    4. A business loan website

    - I already have existing clients. I lend $15,000 at 10% monthly interest.
    - I just need to create a professional looking website to attract clients.
    - I plan to lend $20,000 a month at 10% monthly interest. The clients/borrowers are really easy to find where I live.

    5. A niche site for kids
    - It's my newest. Not sure if I'll continue with this.
    - I need to find regular writers.
    - I need steady source of traffic (maybe FB ads again).

    6. An online store selling artworks
    - Not a cash cow. I owe this one to an artist friend of mine. I promised to promote his paintings online (that was 1 year ago).
    - I'll sell his artworks at a profit.

    7. A wedding photography website
    - Same as #6. I promised a website to a friend (yeah 2 years ago). I'll earn through client referrals.

    8. Some passion projects
    - A website for a political figure that I support
    - A personal blog where I will talk about IM and marketing in general.
    - A hobby website

    Here is my skill set:
    1. PPC, SEO, Social Media Marketing
    2. Email Marketing
    3. Content creation
    4. Website development
    5. Some business management skills

    What I need to do:

    1. Dedicate at least 3.5 hours a day, Monday-Friday for these projects.
    2. Focus on one project at a time.
    3. Find the correct people to help me.
    4. Monitor progress and expenses.
    5. Maintain work/life balance.

On top of these, I plan on doing local offline businesses starting with a food franchise. I'm hoping to get at least 3 food franchises before the year ends.

I'm going to update this thread at least once a week. Follow me on my journey.

I wish I had your dedication in the early years, and your success nowadays. Good luck with your projects, and let's hope to reach same goals. :)

In my early years, I was working 16 hours a day (9 hours for a day job and 7 hours for IM). Years of hard-work paid off. Now I can sit for months doing nothing and expect cash to come it. I guess that's what IM is all about. Good luck achieving your goals too. :)

What was your plans for the kids site? This was something I was looking into branching into. It sounds like you need a little help, are you open to a JV?

A lot of solid ideas. I find that when I overwhelm myself with responsibilities I tend to lose focus and bounce around easily.

I would try focusing on dominating one idea at a time. Take an entire week or longer and focus on ONLY that one thing.

    Best of luck man.

Do you use free or paid social media traffic for the adsense project? Also what type of sites do you use there? Viral or normal niche sites?

Wish you all the best. :)

It's a blog for a popular brand mostly catering to kids (and lots of adults too). I'm doing rewrites of existing articles. I'm planning to build a solid online community out it. Not looking into JV for any of my projects at the moment but I may in the future.

My cash cow is an FB page with 3 million likes and, 4 million monthly engagement and 20 million monthly reach. I get paid for direct ads. I also have a number of website earning from adsense and other CPC. Some of them are organic.

I use free social media traffic. Got a solid online community (see reply above). I do normal niche sites. Viral is hard to do for me since you have to stay updated and always needs fresh new topics. I don't have motivation nor temperament for that.

Thanks. That's what I'll do. Dedicate an entire week for a project.

Damn man, you sound like you're killing it. With regards to number 4, I suggest checking out startbootstrap. They have some templates that look professional as hell for that sort of stuff. I took a couple of them, mixed & matched the features I liked about each template and came out with something pretty awesome for a quick demo of a financial services site with a 'contact us' form.
