Just finished reading all of highroller’s journey thread. It’s awesome to see you’re still here now on your own journey.

ive been learning / preparing to build my own tube for the past 2 months. Getting premium domains, contacts, building socials etc. (I want to do this thing right)

I’ll definitely have to pick your brain if you don’t mind, you seem like a straight forward and open webmaster.

Ehy man. I was reading your journey again recently. I noticed you used to have a forum for your site but it's not talked much in this journey. Is the forum still active?
If yes, would you mind telling me:
- In which way the forum helped you in your journey? Would you suggest people to open a forum for their tube?
- Did you host your forum on a different domain or in your subdomain?
- Which cms you used?
- were you publishing contents on your forum too? Or the forum contents were generated by your users only?If the latter, weren't you scared of people potentially publishing illegal contents?

I don't run a forum no more, I nuked that maybe 2 years ago now...some competition went out their way to get some nerd to friend me up offer to run it for me and get admin access to my forum...so they ended up scamming my users for like $5k (funny they didn't think to hold out longer because look at my traffic now haha).

I'm starting out with the first 500 videos to be manually edited and watermarked by myself with custom intros and embedded website watermarks throughout the entire video. (porn is not the same anymore). This process is very tiring but I have told myself you don't get returns without putting in the grind. So every day I'm looking at popping out 5-10 videos per day (all different kinds) with unique titles, descriptions and tags and then uploading 1-2 videos to bigger tubes for promotion.

Earnings are not fantastic, currently getting nearly 1 euro per day. Obviously looking at the goals I set myself, I'm smashing it.. but I think over the course of my journey things have progressed traffic wise in a weird way. Reddits bounce rate is a killer for one, but looking over the last couple of weeks of quality backlinks I've been getting, I'm aiming for a bounce rate between 25-35% by the middle of June. (it is decreasing as my last 7 day forecast is in the 35% mark)

Where do you upload those dmca videos on your site?

Bro u are great person, very fun, I like u have some balls too. This journey is like a movie, I read it cuz I want to enter adult space. But I think i never want to go the tube road. Is much too much work for very little money. After 1.5 yrs u were only making $10-$20 daily. Maybe u earn ok now, but not worth for me and too much stuff going on: dmca, bad host, hacking, low RPM, network stealing.

You say u regret not starting 2 yr earlier with adult but trust me u wouldn't have the same succes bro. You know why? Because that @sarapbeh dude or dudette is your reason for your success. He kept telling you how great it is to have niche porn instead of general until you listend to him.

Credit where credits due, I have named people numerous times in the past, @sarapbeh is one, however since the days me and him used to talk he's complete ghost. He knows what went down when I went from generic to niche...I will never forget that guy or that moment when I was working my shitty night shift in a supermarket when me and him were talking.

I have made good and bad friends from this place, and I'm talking the kind that would talk to me on the regular...brag that they were earning $400k in 4 months and then in another breath wanna borrow $500 off me...then scam me for $1k on a bunch of shitty backlinks. You've read this thread, you can see the shit I've been through, this ain't been easy one bit..and still to this day it isn't. You gotta understand, I post my earnings...jealous people come out of the woodwork. Proper webmasters and advertising that know my site(s) can work out my earnings from market CPM rates, the ballpark figure is there. It's just under 6 figures a year, you can use your brain to work that out.

It's very cut throat, and when your traffic starts doing certain figures you start attracting the attention you don't want. But as you can tell I'm built different, I've dealt shady hosts trying to DDOS me, competition trying to worm their way into my backend through a forum, fake friends talking to me like their big time webmasters when in reality they ain't shit..like I could post a shit ton of screenshots of the shit I've had to deal with.

But it's just not even worth it, every person that has tried to bring me down, has failed. I will forever keep grinding. In the adult world, for decent revenue you need to be doing 35-50k a day..and that shit better be Tier 1 traffic or it ain't worth shit. Because I have 85% organic I can charge whatever I like for people to advertise on my site or buy a link, before i would jump for people to give me money to fund my work, now I rather cut down on the links...but it's all part and parcel in the fun of my journey.

I will NEVER forget the beginning, and the people that helped me or showed me the door.

This is like every other business, you need much work, many hours, many investiment to achieve success. I am an adult webmaster for over a decade and know the ups and downs. It's exactly that, people just see the now and cannot believe it..live the journey for the last 3 years and they'll see its real...like I was still commenting whilst I was in prison ffs...who does that shit?
