Hello BHW. Today I want to share my journey to both encourage newcomers and get advice from the community on the path forward.

I fell into a major niche by total accident January 1, 2017. An aged domain I was working on as a company began to win traffic in a specific niche, so I added Amazon affiliate to see what would happen.

Boom! Day 1 I made my first dollar and I was hooked. Using the primary domain over the last 15 months I have built to US $250 profit per day. But now competition is harder than ever. My niche is totally saturated and I have added on other new niches and other revenue types to compensate.

Now my daily profit makeup is:
    Amazon Affiliate: $35
    Ebook Downloads: $30
    Dropshipping: $180
    Adsense: $5 (lol)

Keep in mind this was achieved using the techniques that are well documented in these forums but without my own PBN. The work relies totally on the strength of my primary domain and years of natural and diverse backlinks.

Now, time to kick into high gear and achieve $1,000 profit per day.

Here are my steps that have already begun to achieve this. Because of the low cost of my current operation, money is not a problem.

Simultaneous steps I have already started:

    1) Build my own PBN from scratch.
I am targeting 1 site per week using methods outlined in this forum. I am buying domains at reasonable prices with parallel niche links (average $250 per domain) and carefully avoiding footprints. This is a long game for me because typical Trust rank is around 25 to start. Domains with bigger stats have gotten really expensive, like $5,000+ per domain expensive.

I am building super detailed home pages and then deeper content with ultra lean and fast site structure. Then powering up with new backlinks from properties I do not own. I’m also doing things like modifying .htaccess to stop people from seeing my PBN when it is complete.

    2) Achieving top 3 position for my main money niche. This is very very hard. Some real players have moved into my primary money niche and are owning the front page. But I know I can do it. My site is as good as theirs, but needs to be powered with extreme backlinks. I have committed to both building more myself every day and buying big links from trusted providers here and other places. Because I am willing to pay Big to get Big, this is the easiest part of the step.

To be honest guys this is where I messed up. I had the niche early on by accident. And I didn’t understand the value of what I had. Therefore I did not invest in the pages, just let them sit and earn affiliate money. I made more pages on my site, but did not get backlinks and do all the things you have to do. Now, big publishers dominate the niche and will be very hard to remove.

Once I have achieved better ownership of search, I have bigger plans.

    3) My goal is to shift affiliate sales to my owned ecommerce channel that already exists, and develop my own private label brand from China, order 1,000 units, and provide high quality customer service to differentiate from drop shippers. I estimate this alone can earn the $1,000 per day without other sources. But first I have to power up my money pages and be ranked top 3 in google.

    Conclusion

Today my work is paying off. I can say my sites make nearly 6 figures US per year with about one hour per day of work or less. But now, I have to triple or quadruple that number. It’s not going to be easy, but only 15 months ago I was making $1.00 per day, so I know it is possible.

Thanks for reading my journey, happy to answer questions for you if I can!

So you do seo exclusively on your dropshipping website?

    Right now my structure is:

Primary domain - strong, diverse content with real, earned backlinks over nearly a decade

Dropship domain - new, few links built feeding off of the primary domain links for sales

Ebooks domain - medium power again feeding from a different niche on main content site

PBNs - established and clean domains I purchased not attached to other properties (yet) while I am powering them up

This is great my friend, why do you want to build your own pbn instead of using a service?

Currently it's easy to rent links from PBNs. But I don't want to rent forever, I want to own :) Think of it this way: Even though BHW is full of people doing the same thing (so it seems like the world is crowded and very competitive) there is only a tiny fraction of ecommerce happening now compared to traditional purchases in a store. As more people begin to accept ecommerce, the value of PBNs and good domains will increase to huge levels. If you own your own, you don't have to pay current market rent, which could get super expensive.

It's an investment that may or may not pay off, but better in my mind to own than rent :)

It's going to be very interesting to see someone make their own PBN in a journey. Good luck, mate!

Thank you! The work was invested over time, but there were weeks when I didn't care much because it was only making $5-10 per day or less. Now I see the value and that I am still a small player, so the sky is the limit.

Thanks! I'll share updates once in a while when new milestones are achieved. Maybe 500/750/1000 makes sense.

Curious on this, it seems like people are feeling that this is a very big challenge. Can you specify why you think so? I understand it can get expensive and hectic, but with profit coming in I think it's a good area to reinvest.

Well, personally I am not a SEO specialist, and from what I've heard, PBN can have a pretty big impact on SEO ratings. So my natural assumption is that if it's efficient, then it must be not too easy to make, otherwise it would be saturated by now. But if you believe it's easier than it looks, then perhaps you could de-mystify this whole thing for many of us by your journey example.

It's definitely not easy to make as it crosses a wide span of web knowledge, but I have been making websites for 20 years so I know the tasks. Content and structure are important, and I have an idea for my PBN to make it superior over time. It's going to take a while though, not an overnight job :) Thinking of it this way:

Fast = Spun/low quality content, sure to get penalized in future Google updates
Slow = Hand written, high quality, and good design + secret sauce to future proof from Google :)

Ahh yes, experience is definitely a plus. Yeah, I guess most of us lack the knowledge or the motivation to go for the slow route and be patient enough while it's in progress :D

There are a total of 5 ebooks hand written by me. Buyers from mostly US/Canada/UK/Aus. The traffic is 100% organic. I have tried many experiments in past using highly targeted and verified paid traffic with no luck/ROI to speak of. Thanks!

This is a real challenge. Not getting bored/lazy. The first year I did not fully believe/understand the profit potential. The knowledge in these forums is really gold, and its not common knowledge (only to our niche). Mastering ecommerce through search ownership is going to be a huge skill in my arsenal, and well worth the time!

Hi everyone, checking in again with you. It's been about 2 months since last report of $250 per day in profit. Today I am reporting that the PBN plan is in effect, new money sites are opened, and new profits coming through. Today I am up to $400 per day in profit if looking at last few weeks alone. This is a good trend I plan to continue. So what have I done?

    1. Continue high authority link building with good content - hard work and sometimes have to pay for a good link
    2. New sites - purchased domains as well as brand new sites to fit PBN. In all about 8 new sites since last report, all with high quality content and proper backlink setup.
    3. New money site - study traffic patterns very hard and come up with a way to monetize traffic that I thought was worthless in past. Turns out its very fast growing, almost on it's own ready to send toward $500/day in profit. Lesson: No traffic is worthless. Even if traffic is coming from poor, wrong country, etc... everyone is looking for something online. If you can invent something for them then you win 2 ways - chances are if you thought traffic was worthless so did your competitors, now you have an edge. And secondly, now you have more profit to quickly build a fortress of SEO before anyone catches on = much harder to catch up to you once people see your method.

Thanks for reading I will check in again sometime soon.
