Background:
Some of you (very few) saw my post regarding helping a friend's brother who was scammed out of a lot on money. I spent the weekend basically dumbing down one of my services to a level he could understand and implement. In the process, I basically wrote out a simple step by step manual on how to run a social media content service - like I said, very simple, basically creating graphics and posting them to insta, FB, LinkedIn, GMB, etc. in the most time and brain efficient way.
Background section #2:
I am part of a FB group of 450k business women. By business women, I mean that 5% of them actually run businesses and are primarily there to find leads, 30% of them are on the verge (seemingly perpetually on the edge) of starting something and the rest are wannabe "babe bosses". I actually dislike this group with a simmering passion. (I'm not sure if that came across).
You can pay to advertise as a Stand Out Member (SOM). The most advertised service is... tarot card readings. (I can't even...). One purveyor of said service made 10k from one post...(I honestly just can't even....) The second most advertised service is coaching... spiritual coaching, sexual energy coaching, mindset coaching, trauma coaching, past life coaching (whatever that means), etc.
You can also post to get advice. The most popular such posts are: which headshot do you like best; which logo do you like best; and, my husband/boyfriend is not supportive and said blah blah blah...I will not comment on the quality of these posts.
Actual Journey: become a known expert in the group and sell something of actual value. The good thing is that they like to spend money. (I feel like I am stereotyping here but I'm not). Someone once posted that they felt bad paying their VA only $400 a month. She was completely attacked for, and I quote, "supporting slavery". Keep in mind, the VA was located in India.
Steps:
1: Add a new page to one of my sites with simple outlines on how to start 5 different online businesses. Add option to purchase the Social Media Content Service Business playbook.
2: Become SOM
3: Post the link. Answer all the dms.... God help me.
4: Gauge reception and repeat with other manuals/offerings.
The main goal is to see how receptive such a group would be to actual information and how possible it is to gain influence.
I'll update here daily. This shouldn't take long. It will either work or I will get frustrated and lose interest very fast
Wish me LUCK!
